The position

Well funded and growing quickly, Huddle is looking for a talented, motivated and dedicated Quality Assurance and Test Automation Engineer to join our exceptional team at our HQ near London Bridge. Reporting to the QA Manager, this position has the following responsibilities:


  • Working as a member of a cross functional team comprised of C# Developers, UI Developers and QA * Engineers to build quality in the product
  • Designing test cases, both manual and automated, to cover new functionality being developed
  • Creating, reviewing and maintaining robust automation tests
  • Coordinating the execution of manual and automated regression testing
  • Reporting and managing defects through to successful resolution
  • Improving the maturity of the team’s quality assurance tools and processes
  • Contributing product ideas and working with the Product Team to help refine requirements

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience in performing a QA role for large-scale web applications
  • Commercial experience working with Scrum, XP or a similar Agile methodology, and an understanding of Test Driven Development and/or Business Driven Development
  • A proven track record testing the user interface and deeper layers of the application
  • Experience in test automation for web applications using Selenium or a similar framework, as well as cross-browser testing
  • A basic understanding of object-oriented programming principles and the ability to write simple code in at least one OO language, such as Java or C#
  • A good understanding of relational databases, and experience writing SQL queries and insert/update statements
  • Experience collaborating with programmers and business experts
  • A genuine passion for ‘web 2.0’ in general; and elegance, usability and quality standards in particular
  • Knowledge of at least one scripting language would be a bonus
