Software Test Analyst

The Position
We are looking for a tester to join an amazing start-up alongside a great team. We know the best want to work with the best; that’s what we offer and that’s what we look for.

You will have a background testing web applications and your role will be to kick-start the QA effort for our small development team, which will require setting up processes as well as full-time testing, including regression testing and ideally automated testing.

You will be working closely with product owners and the development team who are building new features for the Tutorfair Web site.

Responsibilities
Overview of key responsibilities:
- Ownership of quality assurance for the Tutorfair Website
- Analyse user stories to determine acceptance criteria for end to end testing
- Create and execute test plans
- Define and execute all levels of end to end testing
- Manual testing of all new features
- Manual testing of all bugs fixed
- Regression testing of all releases
- Cross-browser testing
- Report and prioritise faults identified during end to end testing cycles using the specified fault management system and test subsequent fixes
- Issuing release notes
- Skills and Experience
- Essential skills for the role:
- Use of test management tools
- Ability to write test cases based on new features
- Strong manual testing experience working with Web applications
- Strong regression testing experience
- Communication skills and a sense of humor please
- Good understanding of the software development lifecycle
- High attention to detail

These skills are not essential for the role but would be beneficial:
- Experience with automated testing
- Experience doing UAT testing in a B2B context
- Experience working with Selenium for UI testing
- Experience testing mobile applications
- Lightweight programming experience, including ability to run SQL queries
- Working in an agile development environment
- Experience of performance, load, security, usability testing
