Fly Now Pay Later is the travel industries first payments platform that allows consumers to instantly spread the cost of their holiday over a flexible duration. Our alternative payment solution plugs straight in to the checkouts of established tour operators, airlines and travel agents.

Based in Central London (Cannon Street, EC4M), we’ve just secured £20m in funding following an extensive proof of concept phase to start rolling out our payment solution across the UK travel sector. Fly Now Pay Later is founded by a highly experienced team with extensive experience within travel (Tui Travel PLC), consumer finance (Visa), payments (faster payments) & tech start ups (various).
Summary

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving new merchant growth in the UK for our revolutionary online travel financing solution. From sourcing new travel merchants to converting inbound leads of all shapes and sizes, we’re looking for a candidate who will ensure a high conversion rate and outperform your sales targets. For this role you need to be ambitious, tenacious and well-connected in the travel industry.

Key Responsibilities

Identify the most promising merchants and verticals that will help Fly Now Pay Later grow a healthy pipeline across a preferred line of business across the UK sector
Sell our alternative payment solutions and services to online merchants, airlines and tour operators in the UK through cold calling, networking, fairs etc.
Help new merchants evaluate Fly Now Pay Later and handle detailed questions about our product capabilities
Prepare thorough presentations and proposals for prospective merchants
Orchestrate the entire Sales process and act as the main point of contact for merchants and other internal stakeholders involved
Maintain a solid, well-organised portfolio and nurture key accounts
Partner with other Sales Managers to share best practices, key business insights and industry trends
Report directly to the Chief Executive
Providing feedback on local trends including competitor insights, customer needs, sales, product and marketing information

Skills & Experience

3+ years Sales experience
Solid network of potential travel prospects or partners in the region would be preferable
Tech-savvy, with a passion for Technology
Solid business acumen and awareness of financial factors
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills and techniques
Fluency in English, any other European language appreciated
