The Role

Your job is to build out and expand this award-winning technology platform. You will be:
• Passionate about writing high-quality software
• Able and keen to learn new technologies
• Happy to work in a highly collaborative environment
• Happy to roll up your sleeves and perform code reviews
• Well versed in delivering software using Agile methodologies
• Unintimidated by a complex technology stack, including JavaScript, Ruby and Java

Main Areas of Responsibility
• Deliver features into the core product, across all areas of the technology stack
• (With the team) deliver all aspects of functionality, quality and performance
• Code review your peers' contributions
• Tackle gnarly data manipulation and scaling problems within a team of very bright, committed people

Requirements

Successful candidates will have the following attributes:
• A Computer Science degree from a reputable university
• Experience of at least one object-oriented language (C++ and Java especially)
• Experience of at least one dynamically-typed language (Python or Ruby are good)
• Confident command of SQL and relational database concepts
• Version control with Git

Beneficial:
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript
• Deep experience of web development
• Very comfortable with a flavour of Linux OS
• Experience of a configuration management tool, such as Puppet or Chef

Compensation
• Base salary of £40k – £80k, depending on your level of experience
• Participation in the company bonus pool, which is based on company revenue targets
• Stakeholder pension of 5% of base salary after a trial period
