Airtime Rewards is a revolutionary new retail rewards program, changing the way 10’s of thousands of users in the UK fund the cost of their smartphones. Our app users are able to reduce their phone bill, simply by spending with major high street retailers, such as Waitrose, Debenhams & Caffe Nero. We’re working alongside all the major mobile networks in the UK to offer retailers a totally new way to reward their customers.

The Team & Role
We’re a small, young & agile team, looking to recruit a new member of the marketing team. A key aim for 2017 is to increase our user base, as well as maximising usage from our existing users. This is an impactful role which will include a number of important functions including; social media management, content creation, email comms, blog writing, manage and respond to user queries. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about startups & is open to learning and adapting to a wide range of tasks which might be asked of them.

What will you get out of the internship?
You’ll be joining the team based in O2 Telefonica’s acceleration process, WAYRA. An intense 8-month process designed to accelerate our growth using investment & guidance from O2 Telefonica. You’ll be based in Telefonica HQ in Piccadilly Circus and exposed to a wide range of key employees within the business.

The Role
Manage all communication channels to boost engagement and usage of the AR app.
Take ownership of weekly comms - email / SMS / push messages
Create compelling content / marketing campaigns
Analyse and present findings from ongoing marketing campaigns to wider team
Manage help desk, dealing with any user questions & issues
Offer suggestions/contributions to development of the app from user feedback
Write press releases for B2B news / updates
Work ad-hoc on tasks and activities which may arise.

You’ll need to be
A self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, and a can-do attitude
Excellent creative thinker with great ideas – a good ‘marketing brain’
Fast learner who isn’t afraid to get things wrong.
A good writer, you’ll need to write copy to engage with our young audience.
