Who you are

We’re looking for a technical writer to work within the Customer Success team.

You’ll be responsible for the development of web-based documentation for the Geckoboard App.

This is a varied role, but with an initial primary focus on making Geckoboard’s Help Center best-in-class.

This role requires someone who is comfortable in technical discussions and can translate complex concepts into digestible text.

About the role

Oversee the Help Center and other self-service channels, produce clear, easy-to-read, and consistent documentation for the Geckoboard app, its pre-built integrations and APIs.

Work closely with the Customer Success team, developers and product managers to write end-user documentation.

Research and gather all required information.

Produce screenshots, GIFs, and other graphics when required

Work with our product managers on the use of text in the user interface, such as the consistency of terminology/style, and readability of error messages

Monitor and respond to issues logged against the documentation

Review and proofread documentation produced by team members

Contribute to the working methods and processes of the team

About you

You’ll be an experienced writer with a genuine passion for technology and the delivery and quality of documentation.

You’ll be self-motivated and able to take the initiative.

You’ll be adaptable, up for a challenge, and wanting to explore and embrace new ideas, technologies, and approaches to user-assistance.


Impeccable written English, and the ability to write consistently in accordance with a style guide
Ability to write easy-to-read, fluent text, and the capability to organise content clearly
Experience of working with development and QA to write and deliver customer-facing documentation
Excellent all-round communication skills
Some knowledge of HTML and CSS


Experience in writing API documentation
Experience in video tutorial scripting and production
