Dynamic leader sought to move into CEO role in mobile telecare industry

We are looking for a dynamic leader, capable of leading a mobile telecare business to scale quickly from under £1m to over £5m in revenues. This established business is based in Central London.

The Company sells simple to use mobile devices, with airtime contracts. The primary focus is on volume sales to B2B customers- mainly telecare providers, local authorities and hospitals. End users are typically elderly or other care recipients, lone workers or vulnerable hospital patients. These innovative solutions have demonstrated market traction over the historical fixed line solutions.

We are now looking for a person to grasp the next step in their entrepreneurial career and share in the rewards of success. The opportunity is to scale the business and to identify new product/market opportunities. You will have the latitude to build a team, develop strategic direction and execute on your plan.

The role:

• Develop the business strategy and operating plan, and gain Board approval
• Implement a successful sales and marketing strategy to deliver profitable revenue goals
• Establish good relationships with key customers and suppliers
• Identify and close major commercial opportunities to drive profitable revenue
• Oversee all processes, project management and output to ensure first class service is delivered.
• Build and develop the team needed to deliver the strategy
• Pitch the company to prospective investors in future funding rounds
• Work closely with the Board

The person:

Essential

• Self-motivated and entrepreneurial
• B2B sales experience - significant amount of time to be spent with strategic trade customers
• Marketing experience and appreciation of what drives end user demand, able to make the connection with potential new product or service offerings
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Small company experience/mindset – able to switch as required between high level strategic thinking and sorting out the details of any aspect of the business
• Some appreciation of technology products and of the mobile industry

Desirable experience

• Selling to public sector and similar organisations
• Knowledge of telecare or mobile industries
• Raising capital from angel networks, VCs and others
• Leading a business to sales growth and exit

Remuneration:

Salary iro £60,000, bonus potential and share options
Opportunity to take a significant stake in the business through investment and/or options.
