About the role
Checkout.com is actively seeking a resourceful Project Manager with a can-do attitude to join our Engineering Team and deliver a set of initiatives to improve the capability of our people, the efficiency of our products and the scalability of our Company.
Working side by side with various Developers, Product owners and collaborating with many business stakeholders internally, the Project Manager will work on a range of projects to enhance our Product Development environment. In this role, you will juggle with short-term deliverables (e.g. new product features development) and long-term goals (e.g. new methodologies and processes implementation), focusing on immediate needs at hand and visualising the bigger picture. You will act as our process champion and ensure that projects are delivered against commitments, managing their timeline and dependencies.
You will be responsible for owning projects across their entire lifecycle:
Lead requirements gathering and definition with business stakeholders and product owners
Ensure the scope of work is clearly defined and document everything
Communicate project status and plans, and manage dependencies
Highlight, report and manage project risks & issues
Coordinate Engineering resourcing and timescales
5+ years hands-on Technical Project Management experience in a fast-paced and high growth environment, ideally in the e-commerce/FinTech industry.
Exposure to and understanding of a range of software development life-cycle methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, SCRUM, Kanban, etc)
Experience of tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, Confluence and Github
Excellent organisation skills, ability to adhere to deadlines whilst maintaining a high quality of delivery
Superb communication skills, ability to interact effectively with multidisciplinary people at all levels across the organisation
Experience working with remote teams is a plus
Recognised Project Management qualification is a plus
