The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the Finance function.
The position reports to the Managing Director and has core responsibility for the day-to-day management reporting, cash management, transactions, compliance, and company secretarial aspects for Runway East. Building and developing relationships is key to the role, as is a hands-on approach.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Processing all monthly general ledger entries including: deferred income, accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets.
Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Managing all bank accounts and cash flow requirements and reporting.
Monthly reconciliation and reporting of AP and AR ledgers.
Managing our weekly pay run
Tracking Membership Income
Maintaining and documenting all financial controls and processes.
Preparing timely management accounts, reports, and commentary.
Preparing VAT returns and HMRC returns.
Coordinating the preparation of Year-end Financial Statements with outsourced provider.
Preparing of budgets & forecasts in line with deadlines and requirements.
Maintaining company registers and records with Companies House.
Other ad hoc projects as the CEO directs

Key requirements for this role include:
A recognised (or working towards) financial accounting qualification - ACA, ACCA, CIMA.
Previous experience using Xero is essential.
Close attention to detail.
Excellent communications skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
Working to multiple deadlines and managing stakeholder expectations.
Experience of working well in a small, close-knit vibrant environment.
