Tala is seeking an enthusiastic Supply Chain & Quality Coordinator to join a fast growing design and manufacturing brand in East London. Our mission is to create exquisite products that have a positive impact on the world.

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain and Quality Manager to ensure that our products and services continue to meet the exacting standards set both in-house and as an external requirement.  With a global operation and numerous product releases throughout the year, the Tala team needs organized and ambitious mind to take control of quality standards and delivery schedules. A strong background in supply chain and compliance is a must.

About the role:
The role will involve, but not be limited to:
- Bringing beautiful products to market.
- Working on global logistics solutions with our 3PL.
- Devising and further establishing a company's quality procedures, standards and specification.
- Lead the maintenance and implementation of the QMS (LIA Accredited) to ISO 9001, and ensure the proper implementation of all quality plans and procedures.
- Take ownership and accountability, whilst driving continuous improvement of the Quality program and culture.
- Review new standards and procedures to ensure quality compliance
- Develop department KPI's for the control of quality to ensure development plans are created and maintained.
- Develop 3 year plan to reduce waste and increase efficiency across all supply chain sectors.
- Oversee the relationship between the Company and its assembly line contracts in Shenzhen to ensure that all orders are completed to an agreed date and conform to the Company’s requirements.
- To work closely with the Supply Chain Director and Trade and Logistics Coordinator in planning overall production activity, managing inventory control, logistics and timescales and costs.
- Managing and reporting on quality control processes.
- Updating and maintaining the ERP system.
- To manage the Company’s agents on the ground in China and liaise with logistics and packaging partners.
- To work with the founders and operations team to assess the viability of moving the production capability to another geography and to undertake regulatory and labour analysis of the recommended geography.

You are a good fit if:

- You are passionate about exquisite products and the environment.
- You want to take a jump in the deep end and build an exciting early stage business.
- You have an in-depth knowledge of the low carbon economy, including underlying market drivers, regulation, scientific underpinnings and market dynamics for manufacturing low carbon products.
- You have 2 years experience in supply chain and compliance.
- You are versed in all aspects of bringing a product to market, from prototyping, compliance all the way to ‘ready to ship’. We have multiple launches a year and lots of great customers that need them!
- You can demonstrate experience in systems, scheduling, warehousing and logistics. We need people who can maximise individual aspects of the supply chain whilst taking into account the macro needs/vision of the business.
- You can confidently forecast and  have the ability to put supply chain theory to practice. We want to build forward thinking, sustainable solutions.
- Demonstrable experience in a manufacturing environment and an understanding of the relevant regulatory processes.
- You understand and have experience in supply chain/factory verification and inspections processes, candidates will be working closely with CCIC and internal team in China.
- You have excellent stakeholder management skills and enjoy working with people.
- Experience with an ERP system and advanced Excel skills.

- Mandarin would be extremely useful.
