Business Development Manager - Foodie Start Up

at Feast It in London

(₤22000 per year)

Based in Bermondsey, London, we’re changing the events market by helping connect events with the country's most exciting food and drink traders.

Our mission is to take the best food in the country and put it where events planners can easily discover, compare and book their ideal supplier. From Dirtyburger, to Bubbledogs, to Prosecco Bros, to Patty & Bun, we work with over 200 of the most exciting chefs and drink makers in the country and we want you to help us take it to the next level.

The last few months have been really exciting for us. We’ve seen rapid growth, with our team expanding massively, moving offices (twice..), doing our first major public festival, and smashing all of our targets by more than 2x.

We work out of a lovely office 5 mins from London Bridge that boasts weekly yoga, pizza, beer, a roof terrace and, generally speaking, not terrible people.

We’re looking for someone to come in and take control of our bizdev at all levels, from strategy to the day to day nitty gritty. Reporting directly to the founders, you will be given a huge amount of autonomy as well as expected to be a major part of developing the company’s future both in terms of BizDev but also it across the spectrum.

We’ve had great success in the past including working with amazing companies like Soho House, Virgin, Samsung, Amazon, Brompton, The Roundhouse, etc. and we’re looking for you to step in and take this to the next level.

We’re big believers in relationship building, so face to face meetings with potential and existing clients is a huge part of the role, as is lead generation, initial contact and account management.

It’s vital that you are an independent worker who can think outside of the box and develop your own strategy, from prospecting to cold calling, to meeting with owners of some of the coolest venues, best event planners and executives at FTSE listed companies.

We care far more about attitude, ideas and ability than experience, but ideally, you’ll have:

Experience at a startup or agency
Proven track record of delivering results
Knowledge of the London events industry, ideally with a strong set of connections in it
Strong organisational skills.
Confidence when pitching
Excellent communication
Inter-personal skills
Skill in managing workflows and prioritising

Being into food and drinks is a pretty major bonus, not least because we all spend most of our day talking about food.

We’re a young start-up based in an office in Bermondsey (it comes with all your start up standards – free coffee, beer, pizza, pretzels, Oreos etc). We really believe that everyone should have a say in our company’s strategy and long-term ambitions, so this an opportunity to massively influence Feast It’s long-term vision.

We’re a couple of mins walk from London Bridge, surrounded by a host of amazing delis, bars and restaurants and, handily, we’re a stone’s throw from Maltby St. and Borough markets.

Loads of free food, free tickets to events and festivals, option to travel for work, flexible working hours and holiday days.

Everyone should have ownership of the company they work for so believe strongly in offering equity to our employees.
