Detailed duties
You will work with designers, product managers, developers and marketing to design, test and validate the user experience across a number of B2C and B2B subscription products and services. This is a unique role, with an opportunity to work across multiple brands and product-sets.
You thrive on understanding the interactions and experiences of multiple customer groups and mapping this against the product design and delivery. You are excited at the prospect of leading user experience within a fast-moving growth-stage start-up environment.
You have helped deliver consumer products from inception through to successful launch and into growth (and loved every minute of it). You enjoy working in a team environment and have a genuine enthusiasm for designing elegant solutions that customers love.

Responsibilities
• Work on the challenging problem of providing an amazing experience that satisfies and engages multiple persona types across several different products and brands
• Define, establish and own the user research and interaction design process for multiple streams of work across several different brands.
• Own the design thinking, research and testing, map customer journeys for complex products and services
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, marketers and other designers to deliver intuitive, beautifully designed products, software and brand experiences
• Apply user-centred design methodologies to ensure Iron’s products are based on customer needs
• Work with the product team to bring Iron’s products to life through a customer centric approach to design. 

• Create customer stickiness by creating experiences that become a part of customer’s lives and habits.
• Utilise physiological techniques to increase engagement, user motivation and bring emotion to the user. 

• Collaborate with others in an Agile software development environment. 



Relevant Experience
• 5+ years relevant UX experience covering all aspects of the product design process. 

• Significant experience carrying out user research activities and rapid-prototyping. 

• Demonstrable portfolio of mobile and web applications, ideally for high-volume consumer products with a strong focus on delightful user experiences and designs. 

• Experience with tools such as Axure, Invision or Sketch

Skills and attitude
• Organised and energetic, with excellent time management. Ability to work in fast-paced environment on multiple projects. 

• Problem-solver and attention detail when delivering inspiring digital solutions. 

• Empathetic and collaborative approach to building a trusted team around you. 

• Inspired and comfortable working with mobile and web developers in an Agile manner to support all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Strong interest in technology UX and design trends and keeps up to date with latest developments. 

• Passion for all aspects of user interaction design, with a focus on conveying feedback and emotion to the end-user resulting in conversion.
