An exciting opportunity has arisen at Campus Society, the only online platform that connects university students worldwide. We’re looking for a passionate, ambitious, self-starting Community Moderator to join our extremely fast-growing team in Central London.

Working alongside additional Moderators on the Community team, you’ll be responsible for monitoring and moderating user-generated content to ensure that the online community is maintained as a safe and fun environment. You’ll develop and execute successful new strategies, as well as support the Community team in continuing to make Campus Society the brilliant, thriving social platform that it is.

What you’ll do

- Implement the online community moderation strategy to ensure its effectiveness and providing superior quality of users support to our community with the help of various communication tools
- Review and moderate all user-generated content and user profiles (either pre-, post- or reactive moderation) within channels, posts, chats, comments, images, videos and audio, liaising with the Community team where required
- Maintain the moderation guidelines and ensure they are up to date
- Engage with members of the community, building upon influence and stimulating engagement
- Helping to welcome new members onto the site and answering any questions that members have
- Listening and responding to the needs of the community
- Identifying trends that are emerging from the community on a weekly basis
- Contribute to the monthly content calendar

What you’ve got

- Strong organisational and multitasking skills, and a proactive approach
- A passion for helping students, as well as an interest in various aspects of student life such as mental health, relationships, politics and education
- High levels of empathy and compassion
- Outstanding online communication skills
- Creative thinking, with an enthusiasm for coming up with new ideas
- High proficiency with Word, Powerpoint and Excel
- Excellent writing skills, including top-notch grammar and punctuation
- The ability to meet deadlines and multi-task
- Ability to work within a team and with other teams across Campus Society
- Excellent organisational skills
