Nightly is a unique hotel booking website, powered by a proprietary, hotel switching algorithm, where travellers can book the best value hotel stays, making hotels more affordable.
We achieve this by offering a novel solution which we call hotel switching – combine two hotels which are cheaper than staying in one hotel. We give travellers the option to switch once and save as much as 70%!
Travellers switch hotel part way through their trip and they know which hotels are included in their package and what day they’ll be moving, when they book. We also offer regular single-hotel stays empowering travellers to choose whether switching is right for their trip.
Nightly.travel was among 10 start-ups featured in Forbes in Jan 2017 in an article titled “These Are The Startups You Should Watch In 2017”.
Nightly also recently completed Y Combinator’s Startup School Founder Track with 3 months of online mentorship from Silicon Valley.
The business is currently run by the lead co-founder who’s presently the sole founder (due to his co-founder leaving to focus on being a dad). The remaining founder requires the support of another ambitious and driven entrepreneur to help in making hotel switching as commonplace as connecting flights in travel – he wishes to find a sparring partner, a motivated and skilled outlier to work together in building and running Nightly. The right candidate should have aspirations to eventually run the business as CEO or Co-CEO.
As a minimum, here’s what’s expected:
- Proven track record of success in the business world or employment;
- Able to deal with a broad range of activities from fundraising, to tech or marketing management;
- Managing and delegating to others whilst also implementing themselves;
- Available to dedicate their full time to Nightly;
- Ideally ready to start asap, even if not full time right away;
- Ready to support themselves for up to 3 months;
- Experienced in online travel or early-stage start-ups;
- Available to work in London for at least 1-2 days per week.
This is a unique and attractive opportunity to join a young start-up with high growth potential. The role will be a co-founder role and you should understand what this takes and what it could give. You’ll be expected to work for an initial, trial period to prove your skills and strengths before you’ll be awarded a generous equity stake in the company. The equity stake and other short term remuneration are subject to the candidate and to negotiation.
