Role Responsibilities
Distilling complicated problems into simple and elegant solutions.
Spending time researching and testing with customers understanding their needs and pain points.
Thinking through user problems, finding reasonable solutions, mock them up in detail, and work with engineers to build them.
Take a design from concepts, sketches and prototypes, all the way through to implementation.
Understanding the current design landscape, and know the right tool for the job. Whether that's sketching, Sketch, Framer, or straight-up HTML.
Helping to define product strategy.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent practical work experience (minimum 2 years) in product design.
A deep understanding of what makes an experience good or bad.
You have a highly refined aesthetic sense and can both work within and expand the City Pantry brand.
You understand the technical limitations and liberties behind your decisions and have enough chops to communicate your ideas to our engineers.
Experience designing for the web and understanding how to apply both form and function within it while maintaining simplicity.
You construct your own iconography, set your own guidelines, and build easy-to-navigate documents.
You obsess over details and are excited to polish until your work is pixel-perfect.
