The Company: Elevator Pitch
We help amazing start-ups grow, thrive and succeed. We do that by offering space, advice, facilities and opportunities to the startups and entrepreneurs who work in our three buildings in Shoreditch and Moorgate.
We’re a small team of ten who are taking off in a serious way: we’ve gone from 200 to 1200 members in the last 6 months, and we mean to keep that momentum going.
The Job: Elevator Pitch
We’re looking for someone with a keen interest in startups to be the second hire on our marketing team: you’ll join our Marketing Manager in telling the story of Runway East to the world.
You’ll be at the forefront of raising awareness about Runway East and as the second hire you’ll be able to get stuck into a wide variety of projects, including (but not limited to): helping our social media take off, researching and writing blog posts for our website, taking charge of our email marketing efforts and promoting and coordinating unique events.
We’re looking for someone with raw potential, who’s hungry to learn and has a serious interest in the start-up world. If all goes well the role will be permanent after 3 months, and in 12 months who knows – maybe you’ll be hiring people yourself.
The Job: What You’ll Be Doing:
Writing blog posts, newsletters, emails, posters, ebooks, post it notes…if we can think it WE CAN WRITE IT
Growing our social media reach by being a natural for wanting to be a part of a greater conversation
Promoting large scale events (panels, speeches, dinners)
Researching emerging startups in London, and reaching out to them where appropriate
Coming up with fresh ideas to make the above work better than ever
Who You Are
*Well organised *Social media savvy *Keen interest in startups and the people behind them *Microsoft Office literate, and comfortable with spreadsheets *Excellent creative writing with perfect grammar and spelling – have you spotted one of the mistakes in this advert? *Previous experience working – flipping burgers, being behind a bar, in an Investment Bank – it doesn’t matter what, it just matters that you have it *You know that even the good jobs involve getting stuck into spreadsheets, emailing and helping out other team members at least 30% of the time, and you’re ok with this.
*Education – We take into consideration your education, but it’s not the only thing that defines you. If you think you can do this job, and you can demonstrate it in something you’ve done (previous work experience in this field, a viral post you did, your own blog etc) then we want to hear you.
