Business Development Manager, Supply (MBAs welcome)

Drover is the mobility-as-a-service platform for everyone who wants a car for longer than just getting from A to B: find the car you want, keep it for as long as you want, swap or cancel anytime. In short: we are the Netflix for cars.

Drover achieves this through a two-sided rental marketplace model, connecting professional fleet owners with individual hirers, run on a superb website, a SaaS-based fleet management interface and a mobile app. Our vision is to provide a better alternative to car financing and traditional ownership and change the way people access cars.

Drover was founded by a team of serial technology entrepreneurs in January 2016, has handled over 10,000 vehicle bookings since and has been serially backed by world-class investors including Partech Ventures, Cherry Ventures, Version One Ventures, Forward Partners and BP Ventures.

In preparation for the launch of our B2C product, we are looking to add a rockstar Business Development Manager to our 40-strong team to help build the supply side of our marketplace. In particular, you will

- build a solid pipeline of potential supply partners from across the automotive landscape including car rental companies, dealerships as well as manufacturers across the UK and beyond (some travel required)

- manage the full sales cycle from first contact to the closing of partnership agreements

- manage your accounts with a view to extracting more revenues from each relationship

- challenge and redefine our supply strategy to ensure scalability

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s Degree from a top tier academic institution

- 4+ years of experience in general management, operations, business development or account management at a high-growth B2C tech startup OR 4+ years of management consulting or investment banking experience gained at a top institution + a demonstrated entrepreneurial streak

- Proven experience of sourcing and negotiating large scale partnerships or selling products or services with a long sales cycle

- Experience successfully working within a geographically dispersed team

- An analytical mindset evidenced by a significantly above average command of Excel and SQL and a track record of data-driven decision making

- The demonstrated ability to define, analyse, challenge or be challenged on metrics that measure your success

- The sort of personality who thrives in an atmosphere of ambiguity and quickly changing priorities

Ideally, you will also have:

- An MBA from a top business school

- A comfortable command of at least one European language (ideally French, German, Italian or Spanish) in addition to English

- Experience in the automotive space

- Experience in a marketplace startup
