Events & Experiential Manager (3 month contract)

at Elder in London

(₤2300 per month)

Elder (Elder.org) is one of the fastest growing companies in Europe – over 500% in the last 12 months, and we have no intention of slowing down.

We are looking for an exceptionally talented and driven Event Manager to help us continue our momentum.

We believe that nobody should have to go into a care home unless they want to.

97% of people say they don’t want to end up in a care home, yet the vast majority of people receiving full time care end up shoe-horned into a solution they never wanted.

We’re building the alternative to the care home across the UK & Europe, and will help to reshape how society looks after the elderly.

We are a tight-knit, talented London based team, backed by some of Europe’s leading investors, having raised a Seed and Series A round in the last 9 months. We have experience of founding start-ups like Mopp and backgrounds from companies including Google, Uber, JustEat, Graze, Ocado, Handy, Shazam and Zipcar.

To date we’ve grown primarily through online channels. We believe that by creating immersive events and physically getting in front of our potential customers, is crucial to continuing to drive our upward trajectory. In this role you’ll have full responsibility for creating and co-ordinating our offline events test programme. This is a temporary role, as the purpose of this role is to prove the effectiveness of this sort of activity as a source of growth. If successful, there is scope for this role to become permanent.

Responsibilities:

Being part of the team to come up with and refine the event concepts
Defining KPIs for the projects
Creating project plans
Manage relevant resources to deliver against plans
Analysing and reporting results

Requirements:

Graduate
Several years experience, probably in an agency, in an events or experiential execution and delivery role.
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects to strict deadlines.
Experienced in working with 3rd party vendors, effectively briefing them and implementing projects.
The ability to effectively plan and identify any potential issues affecting delivery.
Proven Experience of managing timescales and budgets.
Commercially minded and motivated by working to an ROI

Benefits:

You’ll be joining as employee #32.
Competitive salary
Any and all equipment needed (Macbook etc)
25 days holiday (plus public holidays).
Free exercise class sessions (we’re big fans of Barry’s Bootcamp)
Office right in the heart of Shoreditch
