The BI team at Growth Street started in early 2017 in order to serve the growing need for data and analysis across the business.


We are building a lean and efficient data stack that promotes efficient and iterative progress towards our goals. We are using the some of the best BI tools in the market and work directly with members in every team across the business. We ship BI products that are immediately deployed across the business and used regularly.


What we’re looking for
We are seeking a Junior/Graduate Business Intelligence Analyst to join our nascent BI team. You will be one of the early members of the team, getting in on the ground floor of a crucial and growing aspect of Growth Street’s business.


You will be help all our business functions leverage data to improve decision making. You will be responsible for data modelling, data analysis and training end-users to use data themselves to answer the business’s most burning questions.


You will, for example, model data from our peer-to-peer exchange, build marketing performance dashboards, and analyse the performance of our whole borrower portfolio. There is a huge demand for data across all teams in Growth Street and you will play a key role in building the BI function here.


Through this role, you will develop a deep understanding of all the data that underpins Growth Street, have ownership of dashboards and reports and work directly with everyone across the business including our CEO, CTO, Operations Director, Commercial Director and Head of Product.


Key activities


Modelling data using SQL
Building and enhancing Looker models used by users across the business
Provide analysis and insights to teams to improve processes, activity and outcomes
Be one of the go-to people for ad-hoc data queries
Help maintain the BI stack at Growth Street, including our ETL and modelling tools
Consult with teams to help them understand how to better use data
Train staff to better understand data and to use our BI tool Looker
Establish best practices for data visualization and enable us to scale.


REQUIREMENTS


You’ll love this role if you:

Ideally, you will:
Have recently graduated or have some experience in a BI or Analytics role;
Know some SQL or have a desire to quickly learn the necessary skills on the job;
Have some experience writing code of any language and quickly pick up new technical skills.
Have experience using data to answer questions.


Nice to haves:
Experience with Excel;
Experience with Python or Jinja2;
Mathematical or sciences background.

The role is based in our London offices. We are located 4 mins from Liverpool Street and 2 mins from Aldgate tube station.
