The Job: Elevator Pitch


We help high-growth startups thrive and succeed. We do that by offering exceptional workspace, community and opportunities to over 100 London businesses (with an average of £900K investment each). Our three London spaces, based in Shoreditch and Moorgate, are unique, and so are the outstanding businesses within them: from fintech to foodtech.


Today we seek a brilliant General Manager to oversee all our operations, increase efficiency, provide great customer service and keep all our moving parts moving. We’ve grown from 200 to 1200 members in the last 12 months with more opportunities on the horizon, and we need someone ambitious, organised, smart and detail-orientated to help us take full advantage of the excitement ahead.


It’s an exhilarating time for us, and we are offering a unique opportunity to join us as a senior executive in a high-growth, multi-million turnover business.


The Job: The Skills


Our General Manager will take over and grow our extensive and exciting operations. For starters they’ll be keeping our three London sites running, managing a talented, varied team and being at the forefront of the growth we have planned in the coming year – but it doesn’t end there. They’ll also be at the forefront of our expansion plans as we launch new locations in London and the UK, driving extensive and sustainable growth at the head of a smart, lean team that acts quickly.


We need someone who thrives on operational excellence – who can lead a team, run complex budgets and has extensive experience with top-quality customer service. Experience in a fast-paced environment with high levels of transparency and growth are key, as well as a proven track record with customer satisfaction, people management and commercial results.



What you’ll be doing


*Managing operations
You’ll be at the very head of our day to day operations for all three of our exceptional London sites. This means fantastic customer service, keeping our NPS high and plenty of proven experience in keeping complicated systems running smoothly.


*Leading from the front
You’ll feel confident in leading a varied team with our values at the fore – transparency, fairness, exemplary customer service and a passion for growing fantastic businesses. You’ll feel comfortable being accountable for all aspects of our sites: partner relationships, controlling finance and ensuring your team and our customers are motivated and happy.


*Helping us grow
We have a lot of exciting plans in the mix for next year, and we need someone at the head of operations who is ready to not only keep our existing sites running and an eye on our budgets, but also roll out scalable operations procedures and frameworks solutions in every new site we launch


Who You Are

Customer service expert


We need someone with a proven track record in exceptional customer service – who will stop at nothing to deliver an amazing experience to all our clients and partners. You’ll also be comfortable training a team to deliver these experiences, as well as keeping on top of the day to day action required to keep it all running smoothly.


Heavy-duty operations experience


We have a lot of moving parts – from constructing new spaces to events, from hospitality to business growth, and we need someone who can take it all in their stride. Diligent, detail-orientated and able to make it all look easy, we need someone who thrives on leading on a lot of different activity.


Data-orientated and commercially aware


We want someone who can take what we’re doing and improve it, based on hard data, our business goals and clear thinking. Someone who has experience of complex business operations, and proven experience on scaling growth, profit and efficiency.
