It’s Easter this Sunday and while job-hunting isn’t something that’s traditionally associated with this time of year, Easter is as good a time as any. Honestly, I’d go as far as to say it’s even better than usual - roles related to flowers, cute baby animals and chocolate? Sign me up! Feeling inspired? Let’s take a look at some Easter-themed startups who have found recent success, or are currently hiring:

Bloom and Wild

If flowers are your thing, this is the startup for you. Their name may sound familiar because they are now sold in Sainsbury’s - talk about success! Bloom and Wild was originally founded in 2013 and has seen almost nothing but growth since, and I’m not talking about their flowers. In early 2021 they secured a £75M investment and have plans to become the market-leader across Europe.

Russell and Atwell

Forget the days of cheap Easter eggs from the supermarket because chocolate delivery services are here, and they’re here to stay. Russell and Atwell received a £90k investment from two ‘Dragons’ on Dragon’s Den in early 2022. You know they’ve got to be good because the non-exec chairman is the ex Cadbury UK president, aka a resident chocolate expert.

Black Sheep Foods

Lambs are a quintessential part of Easter, and more generally spring time. In an effort to be more sustainable and ethical, Black Sheep Foods are a startup moving away from the meat industry. They produce a plant-based lamb alternative that supposedly raises the ‘baa’, but sadly only for the lucky few on the West Coast of the US.

Just Egg

A hugely popular plant-based egg product that you can use for your Easter breakfast this Sunday. Made from mung bean protein, this product certainly looks just like egg, and supposedly tastes like it too. The company ‘Just’ has raised an almost unbelievable £550M in funding since its creation in 2011.
