West Pier Studio are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Unity team to help develop, manage, and deliver projects to our clients.

You will be responsible for managing and delivering multiple software projects throughout the project lifecycle in a client facing environment. The projects vary from architectural applications, VR/AR, mobile gaming, and educational games. Applicants must have excellent experience of Agile software development and JIRA for tracking bugs and providing project updates. This is a highly autonomous role and a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company in the vibrant city of Brighton.   • Manage the complete life cycle and the update of interactive software projects
  • Liaise with clients to manage expectations and to gather technical guidance
  • Manage multiple projects in parallel within an Agile development environment
  • Track and report on project status in conjunction with Jira
  • Directly manage the software development team
  • Run daily team scrums and sprint retrospectives
  • Identify and act on obstacles that might prevent a team’s ability to achieve sprint targets and business targets
  • Manage milestone delivery in line with user stories and client expectations
  • Manage scope and development of back end services
  • Continually gain an understanding of different development technologies
  • Continually gain an understanding in design solutions and transpose into development backlogs

The person:

  • Would have managed creative and technical teams working in Unity or similar
  • Experience managing the production of interactive experiences, games and educational products, would be desirable but not essential
  • Passionate about games and delivering a fun and good user experience
  • A dependable person, who takes responsibility
  • A lateral thinker, who can solve problems using creative reasoning
  • You will collaborate well within a team environment and develop relationships with the other teams and stakeholders
  • Proactively seek out areas of inefficiency within the scope of the role, taking action to make continuous improvements
  • A curious person who learns and improves their professional skills
  • Technical background or technical understanding would be desirable
