As a Lead Backend Developer, you will work within a cross-disciplinary team to realise cutting edge applications. You will be primarily responsible for designing and developing our backend services making the next generation of software defined networks. You will be involved from the inception of many products so a free thinking creative approach will be required, but also the flexibility to use the latest tools and best practice.

In this role, you will be leading backend SW development, including:

  • Taking full ownership over features, end-to-end, design, application architecture, and development to deployment at the customer.
  • Design and solve complex computer network challenges in a creative and secure manner.
  • Work and master a diversified technology environment.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience developing backend applications in a robust language. (Python, Java, JavaScript Frameworks eg NodeJS)
  • Experience in developing backend services (API and data streams) for real-time network, planning and device management for IoT (or related)
  • Highly proficient with SQL database development
  • Experience at developing APIs
  • Experience designing and running a highly scaled, transaction, and multi-platform applications.
  • A leader, not a follower. Ability to make intelligent decisions and advocate for positive changes to always promote and shift the business forward
  • Adaptability, flexibility, positive energy, integrity, and ownership
  • Advanced knowledge of software engineering principles including requirements gathering, software design, source control management, build processes, code reviews, testing methods.
  • B.S. in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience required.

 

Preferable Qualifications

  • Experience in developing monitoring and control applications for wireless IoT solutions
  • Experience in Networking and/or Network Security
  • Knowledge of delivering rich web clients leveraging HTML, CSS and popular JavaScript framework (Angular/ React)
