At KIDLY we’re on the hunt for an enthusiastic and passionate graduate to join our communications team. Creative and meticulous, we’re looking for someone with super strong interpersonal and excellent written skills to get stuck into a new challenge with us. 

This is an entry level role, but as a young and growing company there’s plenty of space for ideas, ownership and growth. We’re looking for someone with energy and drive to make their mark and help us reach new audiences and engage with our existing ones. This is a full-time role based in our Watford HQ, although we're currently working from home (and you may start out this way) until it’s safe to head back into the office. 


We are a modern retailer of stylish and sustainable things for 0-5s, selling over 200 brands from around the world and our own, KIDLY Label.

Established in 2015, and open for business since May 2016, our ambition is to be the modern shopper’s store of choice for the 0-5s in their lives.

The role 

What you’ll get up to (not everything, just the important stuff) 

A big part of what you’ll be doing is supporting the communications teams with their efforts to raise the profile of KIDLY to new audiences and customers as well as engaging and keeping our existing customers happy. Here’s what that looks like: 

Community management - Here at KIDLY every product we sell spends time with a real family being Parent Tested and put through its paces. You’ll become the friendly face of this community; assigning them products to try, sending products out and uploading their reviews to our website. You’ll also be responsible for all new applications to the program. 

Public relations support - On our quest to reach new audiences we’re always on the hunt for new people, publications and websites to build relationships with. You’ll be helping to research potential leads, new journalists and influencers. In addition to this you’ll be responsible for tracking and collating all coverage and results.

Social media support - We love being social and Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest are all really important for connecting with our customers and finding new ones. You’ll be helping us foster and engage our growing communities here. 

Sample management - We run a busy press office; sending out product samples to influencers and journalists and arranging photoshoots. You’ll be responsible for placing these orders with our warehouse and making sure they arrive safely. 

General administration - When you’re not looking after our community there’s plenty of on-going maintenance to get lost in, like keeping our articles up-to-date with fresh products, uploading new community photos to our website and building landing pages for our email marketing campaigns.

The KIDLY culture is one of positivity, helpfulness and mutual respect. This evolved naturally, and easily, as every member of our founding team has those qualities on a personal as well as professional level. A testament to that is that the average tenure of our team of 30, is 3 years, which means many have been here since we started.

Anyone that joins us will share these qualities, have a sense of humour, but also be a driven professional. We have lots to do and, although we enjoy each other’s company and have fun, we all know why we’re here and are driven to achieve those goals.

It also helps here if you love customers and retail. Many of us are also our own customers, in that we either have young kids ourselves or are proud aunts and uncles. We also love e-commerce, all the data it produces, and all the fun you can have trading and interacting with customers in real-time. This is something you can learn to love, if retail is not your natural habitat, as long as you have a passion for shopping, have a bit of a geeky side and like people!


The Office

Ordinarily, when we’re not in lockdown, KIDLY HQ is in Leavesden, near Watford, and we share it with ASOS. It is a wonderful environment, newly refurbished, with access to a free shuttle bus to and from Watford Junction station, an on-site coffee shop/canteen and a large gym, both open 24 hours.
