Growth Marketer

Are you a data-driven Growth Marketer whose accustomed to building, experimenting and operationalising activity to drive growth?

We’re looking for a technically-minded Growth Marketer to join the Forward Team. In this exciting role you’ll work on our brand to develop projects and activities that build awareness, engagement and value with our community - and with our portfolio companies to plan and implement growth tactics and experiments to drive growth.

The team

The Growth Marketer will be working alongside a highly experienced and motivated team and report to the Head of Growth and Marketing. The Growth & Marketing team sits within the Studio at Forward. We exist to help Forward reach as many people as possible, then help our portfolio companies grow through strategic support.

The role

  • Performance marketing: consult and coordinate channel optimisation projects, working closely with specialists to develop and execute experiments. A particular focus on Google Ads, but experience with a range of channels is preferable.
  • An instinct for ‘what works’ and ability to execute activity: you’ll be able to identify growth opportunities - key touch points or triggers - in a customer experience then create activity or content to address them. You should be comfortable creating material without external support (e.g. ad campaigns and copy, nurturing emails, product tours).
  • CRO - you’ll have good experience in optimising sites and landing pages for conversion, structuring hypotheses, tactics and experiments to rapidly improve outcomes.
  • Bringing it all together with data: you’ll have experience creating a ‘marketing tech stack’ implementing GTM / Segment.io to collect, collate data through a tracking plan then choosing and developing services for analysis and engagement.
  • Measurement & insight: you’ll have experience bringing data together and creating actionable insights from it, building customer dashboards through a platform like Google Data Studio. Experience with analytics platforms such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, AppsFlyer.
  • Creating actionable outcomes: you’ll have experience in bringing customer data together through a CRM (HubSpot preferably), automating activity as you go.

Requirements

What we're looking for:

  • You will have at least 5 years of experience in growth marketing in a high-growth, startup environment.
  • You’re organised and conscientious by nature and happy leading multiple projects at a time.
  • You’ll have experience developing cross-functional projects across the full customer journey and will have demonstrable experience of leading successful projects to address growth levers.
  • You’ll have a good understanding of how tactics fit together to deliver growth, combining paid, owned and earned channels to drive LTV up and CAC down.
  • You’ll have great technical know-how. You hold a sophisticated understanding of paid channels - in particular Google Ads and at least a good understanding of other paid channels like Facebook/Instagram and LinkedIn. You’ll have experience measuring and attributing customer data through tools like GA, Mixpanel, Segment. And you’ll know how to put it all together for sales and success teams through CRM.
