What we're looking for:

As a product-aware iOS engineer, you will play a key role in creating pioneering technology at the forefront of a payment revolution and building our app from the ground up. You'll work closely with our designers and the rest of our engineering team, shaping the development of our product to ensure we're making the most of the iOS platform. You'll centre users in the way that you think, and have a passion for great UI and UX. You’ll be excited by the early stage of the company, offering a significant opportunity to influence, create, design, and decide our product evolution and the direction of the Open Banking Industry.

We want a mobile team that’s evenly balanced. We want your input on iOS best practices because we care deeply about providing a slick native experience. We're looking for someone who enjoys collaborating with designers and engineers, and loves learning new things.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be building our iOS app and releasing onto the app store alongside a dedicated and diverse team of software engineers and product owners. Some key responsibilities:

  • Collaborating closely with product designers on new feature design and prototyping
  • Be involved in the user experience design process, from wireframes and mockups through to building, implementation and release into the app store
  • Work closely with the business to create and implement beautiful solutions to interesting problems
  • Define and maintain visual guidelines and ensure consistency throughout the app
  • Fast prototyping of new user interactions and iteration based on feedback
  • Working in an environment that deals with ambiguity every day
  • Implementing ideas on how to use the latest iOS features to make the app the best in class
  • Involve yourself in the wider business growth and own our success

You will have experience in:

  • iOS native development: Swift with frameworks / tools like Core Data ORM, Codable
  • Experience integrating with REST APIs
  • Experience with notifications with APNS
  • Experience in releasing apps on the App Store
  • Interactive prototyping and design
  • Worked in an agile environment
  • Source control tools (Git, GitLabs, GitHub)
  • Unit Testing tools
  • Rest API
  • Worked in an agile environment
  • Ability to write well-documented, clean Swift code

Nice to have:

  • GraphQL
  • FinTech experience is preferable
  • Experience building multi language/multi currency apps

  • Compensation: £50-65k depending on experience and pension scheme.
