ROLE OVERVIEW

DEPARTMENT

As a team of Ops people, Analysts and Software Engineers, the Business Operations team is charged with:

  • Analysing company wide data and operations and generating insights from this analysis;
  • Supporting departments across the business on operations, systems and data;
  • Designing and implementing strong systems & processes that improve performance
  • Managing the architecture of internal data within LandTech;
  • Supporting the organisation with research and data on our markets, competitors and other external factors;
  • Owning company wide planning, and reporting and long-term forecasting;
  • Providing operational and strategic recommendations to management;
  • Leading cross functional execution of change and other projects; and
  • Adaptively building scalable organisational capacity where gaps become apparent as the business grows

In short, being a decision making support mechanism for the business, in order to optimise performance, scale operations and ensure the company continues to successfully achieve its mission, all while under the strain of rapid growth.


REMIT

LandTech is one of the fastest growing startups in the UK with concrete ambition to take that growth internationally. The quality of our brand and marketing has been, and will continue to be, a crucial success factor for our business, and marketing analytics, reporting and tooling are key to ensuring that success. Reporting to the Head of Business Operations and working closely with the Marketing team, the Marketing Operations Associate will be responsible for technical management and maintenance of the MarTech stack, its related processes and workflows and (working with BizOps colleagues) its interaction with the rest of our business systems. This role will also deliver accurate marketing data and reporting, and provide analysis and insight that helps the decision making within Marketing and the wider business.


MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Own marketing analytics and reporting, taking responsibility to build out capabilities significantly from our current setup
  • Make data quality a given and delight in seeking out business enhancing insights from data
  • Work with the Marketing team to develop and maintain processes and workflows that improve customer experience and help maximise revenue opportunities
  • Assist in forecasting and planning by providing marketing data insights across multiple customer segments, channels and regions
  • Technical management, maintenance and development of Hubspot and the MarTech stack
  • Work with Business Operations colleagues to continually develop our data architecture, finding more and better datasets to analyse and evolving our customer data model
  • Improve intelligence of marketing automation and customer personalisation by bringing together customer data and insights with information on customer product usage, other engagement data and much more


KEY DELIVERABLES

  • Develop marketing analytics and reporting capabilities to provide campaign, channel, segment and regional insights
  • Manage attribution and engagement reporting
  • Provide marketing and business leadership with key performance data - revenue, reach, RoI and more
  • Seek out data driven insights that lead to business improvement
  • Maintain, document and iterate on marketing processes and workflows
  • Be quickly on top of the MarTech stack and ensure stable integrations with other business systems in our larger stack
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Business Operations team to put in place systems and processes that scale internationally as our business expands

Requirements

TECHNICAL

  • Highly developed numerical, research and analytical skills
  • Managing and understanding internal business software systems (including Hubspot)
  • Highly developed knowledge of B2B SaaS marketing analytics, MarTech and marketing processes
  • Detail oriented, but always cognisant of the bigger picture and the business strategy


ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

  • At least 4 years’ experience of working in marketing operations, in business or revenue operations with a marketing focus, or in a marketing team, ideally at a start-up or scale-up
  • Ownership and maintenance of Hubspot marketing hub within an organisation
  • Demonstrated experience in providing high quality marketing analytics and reporting; must have generated data driven insights which made a business impact
  • Relevant analytical qualifications and experience
  • Project management, change management and operational management capabilities
  • Be a proficient communicator, comfortable interacting and engaging throughout the organisation
  • Be a natural collaborator, with discerning stakeholder management abilities
  • Have a highly developed understanding of start-up approaches and behaviours. Be naturally driven and work to high standards while being pragmatic and delivery focused
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, economics, computer science, mathematics, statistics or related field


Nice to have:

  • Good knowledge of Salesforce CRM
  • Business intelligence and / or data analytics experience
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and / or willingness to learn
