We’re looking for an exceptional UX Designer to join us in our mission to revolutionize ecommerce retail and logistics.
About Doddle
Doddle started out as a consumer-facing logistics company, but has quickly evolved to become one of the leading players in B2B retail technology.
Our client list now comprises some of the world’s top brands, including Amazon, M&S, JD Sports Group, Walmart, USPS, and Nike. We’ve also recently launched technology partnerships with the largest national postal carriers across the globe, whose combined parcel volumes are in the billions.
We’re a team of about 60 people across the US, UK, Australia, and Japan, and are rapidly growing. We hail from many different backgrounds and cultures, but we’re all singularly focused on making retail better for businesses, consumers, and the planet.
About the role
UX Designers at Doddle play a pivotal role, taking ownership of design within a cross-functional team and working with Product and Engineering to drive their proposition forward.
What you’ll do everyday:
Solve problems through design. You utilize design thinking, user research, and business strategy to identify unmet needs or untapped opportunities—and convert them into strategic visions for clients and internal teams.
Communicate scenarios, end-to-end experiences, interaction models, and screen designs to developers, business analysts, and other team members working on the product.
Create user journey maps to articulate the interactions that a user has, across communication channels.
Translate concepts into wireframes and mockups that lead to intuitive user experiences.
Support product vision by researching, conceiving, wireframing, sketching, prototyping, and mocking up user experiences for digital products.
Design and deliver experiences optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.
Make strategic design decisions related to existing and new functionality.
Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate designs.
Define interaction models, user task flows, and UI (user interface) specifications.
Incorporate a visual or brand identity into the finished product
You should apply if
You have 3-5 years of design experience, primarily in B2B, and can demonstrate having shipped world-class products from concept to launch
You’re comfortable dealing with ambiguity, and have the relentlessness, creativity, problem-solving ability and confidence to drive the team towards clarity
You have an uncompromising focus on user-centric design, data, research, and well-honed judgement to ensure you’re focused on making the biggest difference to customers
You are adept at influencing your teammates, stakeholders and depending teams to rally around your plan.
You are adaptable, understanding where and when to compromise in order to achieve your goals
