Remote Social Media Executive Volunteer at Assembly

What will you be doing?

You will be part of the team shaping and delivering our social media programs and initiatives and assisting us with our strategy. This will span a variety of areas from daily management of social channels to scheduling content and brand outreach. 

The candidate will need to have a background in social media management, with knowledge of best practice in engaging content creation and what this looks like for a business.

This role is ideal for someone who is resourceful and loves working within a fast-paced and unstructured environment. 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and scheduling content across social media platforms 
  • Working closely with the wider project team to ensure content is aligned with activity
  • Brand outreach and establishing working relationships 
  • Monitoring and reporting on performance trends and adjusting content to enhance approach
  • Continuously researching audience behaviour to understand who they are and what they love 
  • Developing and executing marketing campaigns

What are we looking for?

The candidate should either be able to hit the ground running whilst seeking to stretch and grow their skills and experience or have a proven track record.

Requirements:

  • Academic qualification in Marketing or relevant subject
  • 2-3 years experience in a similar social media role 
  • Good knowledge of content creation, social strategies and analytics 
  • Ability to project manage, prioritise and coordinate
  • Knowledge of fashion, sustainability and tech sectors is desirable 
  • Available for 6+ hours per week over a 2-month commitment 
  • Experience working within a seed-stage start-up environment is desirable
