Octopus Moneycoach is a financial planning and coaching service that helps individuals to plan and improve their future finances. We’ve developed a team of financial coaches, and powerful financial planning software that makes it easy and affordable to get help with your finances.
Working with some of the top employers in the UK, in the last year our customer numbers have grown 350%. We provide financial coaching to the employees of household names like Sony, Moneysupermarket and Experian. We are backed by the entrepreneurial Octopus Group and are expanding the service and team rapidly to bring financial well-being to millions in the UK.
The role and opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a scale-up at an exciting time while also being part of an entrepreneurial and established group of companies.
You will be responsible for engaging small to mid-sized prospective employers in the UK and working with them to launch Octopus Moneycoach as the cornerstone of their employee financial well-being offering. You will also work with your clients to ensure successful implementation and positive employee engagement.
You will report to the Head of Employer Partnerships whilst being supported by a growing success and operations team to deliver successful launches.
Day to day you will be:
- Building relationships with employers to understand their pain points and financial wellbeing needs and find opportunities to launch Octopus Moneycoach to their employees
- Influencing both internal and external stakeholders at senior levels. Typically the external stakeholders are Reward, HR or Wellbeing decision makers across all sectors
- Working with clients on business cases to build a case for Octopus Moneycoach
- Designing and delivering implementation and launch plans
- Identifying and feeding back industry trends and changes

Experience in B2B sales
You should have in-depth experience in working with B2B clients on a collaborative basis. This role is about working with your client partners to gain stakeholder buy-in, build business cases, and tailor engagement strategies to ensure mutual success.
Ability to influence stakeholders and negotiate commercially
You should be able to convince stakeholders at all levels to put financial well-being at the centre of their talent strategy and negotiate astutely across all aspects of deals from commercial to legal to effective launch plans.
Goal-focussed and experienced self-starter
You should have a proven track record exceeding your sales targets and are constantly looking for the next challenge to deliver growth in a fast-moving environment.
Great communication and presentation skills
From exploring pain points and identifying effective solutions, to implementing these and continuously monitoring progress, you’ll need to communicate complex ideas clearly and succinctly on a daily basis at any level of seniority.
Knowledge and skills required
- 4+ years experience in partnerships, consultancy, or sales within a start up / SME environment
- A passion for making financial wellbeing a reality for all
