Marketing Assistant to the C Suite at Physalis

About Us

Here at Physalis we are building the world’s first Human Insights platform.  We are an early-stage B2B SaaS company in the data insight space. We empower companies to bring their Consumer Research inhouse. Making consumer research cheaper, faster, and more accurate.

We are a team of 4 co-founders (CEO, COO, CDO, CTO). We are looking for an intern to come and join our extremely creditable and ambitious team.

This role comes via the UK Government's Kickstart scheme:

  • Contract length: 6 months (with potential to extend to a further 6 months)
  • Age requirement: 18 - 24 years old


  • Not in any other employment (able to register and apply for the role via the job centre)
  • Currently claiming Universal Credit (if not, please contact the job centre to obtain an ID)
  • Lives in the UK and have the right to work in the UK
  • Working hours: 25 hours a week, Mon-Fri


  • 18 to 20 years old - £6.56 ph
  • 21 to 22 years old - £8.36 ph
  • 23 to 24 years old - £8.91 ph


  • Support C Suite: You will support the CEO with sending emails and, COO with general admin and learn about the latest AI trends in making from the CDO
  • Event Marketing: You will support the planning of our first virtual event, you will curate guest list and send out any communication leading up to and after the event
  • Customer Growth: You will support the management of our paid and organic customer acquisition channels. You will be encouraged to devise and implement new acquisition strategies yourself
  • Partnerships: You will support ongoing partnership conversations we are holding with a wide variety of organisations. This may include industry research, managing outreach and creating explanatory materials
  • Social Media: You will support the growth of our social media account as well as participant sign ups to our product

About You

Applicants must be

  • Graduates or students with a marketing or relevant degree
  • Interested in ML/AI and the future of marketing
  • Someone active on social media 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Strong basic working knowledge of in-office technologies (printer, copier, fax, etc)
  • Computer skills, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Commitment to using and updating Salesforce, our Relationship Database


  • Responsibility and ownership over key business functions from Day 1
  • Flexible working arrangements, including remote work if desired
  • Ability to shape and impact a funded startup at the high-growth phase
  • Immediate exposure to the tech ecosystem of founders, developers, investors, etc.
  • Consideration for a full-time job offer, including share options, if internship is successful
  • National Living Wage salary, to be increased if a full-time offer is made
