    The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a critical role as part of The Equal Group’s Leadership
    Team. The post reports directly to the CEO and plays a pivotal role in the strategic
    development, execution and translation into the day-to-day operation of the business. The
    primary objective is to ensure the effective delivery of our services through efficient
    procedures and processes to enable and support scaling for growth.

    You’ll be responsible for:

    • Planning strategically for the next stage of growth including but not limited to service
      offering and tech product development;
    • Monitoring and aligning progress towards our short-term and long-term goals;
    • Establishing, reviewing, improving and monitoring the effectiveness of our policies,
      procedures and processes through working collectively with team members across
      the organisation;
    • Owning specific projects and initiatives to aid efficiency or support/prepare for our
      growth ambitions;
    • Supporting client relationship and project management activities during periods of
      peak growth;
    • Developing and implementing a contract management approach to assess
      productivity, profitability and client satisfaction;
    • Budget management and reporting;
    • Line management responsibility for the Operations, Sales and Marketing teams; and
    • Designing and implementing an effective company-wide communication approach

    You will need:

    • Experience with organisation management and aligning cross-functional teams;
    • Experience building and scaling teams and operations from the ground up;
    • Flexibility and prioritisation - this role will involve multitasking regularly so being able
      to switch modes quickly is a must;
    • Problem solving skills - this role is varied and will mean getting involved in different
      areas of the company so the ability to solve a variety of problems with a tested
      approach will be instrumental.

    You will ideally have (desirable, not essential):

    • Experience working in a management consulting or tech start up environment
    • Leadership and people management capabilities
    • Budget management skills
    • Experience in the Diversity & Inclusion 
    • Project management skills
    • Client management and communication skills
    • Track record in executing strategy and translating into everyday operations

    Salary range: £55-65k with equity options (tbc)
