We are STRONGHER, Londons first strictly women only strength training space, that’s on a mission to alter the way fitness looks for women and creating fitness spaces where every woman fits in. We launched our first product ‘Warrior Project’ backing 2016 with just 12 women and rapidly sold out, expanding over 1.5 years to 6 warrior projects with a total of 60 women. In 2019 we successfully crowdfunded  £125,000 of which helped us open our first official first space in Bethnal Green, August 2020. With the overwhelming demand and success, we are now securing our second location south of the river and on the path of ambitious growth over the next few years. We are a women-led business that is committed to inspiring change in the fitness space, in a fun & empowering way for our community, making fitness & weight training accessible for all diversities and creating a culture where women no longer are intimidated by the unknown but feel able to achieve and even surpass their potential.

The new brand-aligned senior marketing manager is to join our small but dynamic team at STRONGHER focusing on setting strategies across our digital platforms, PR, events & in-studio- managing & analyzing reports across Google analytics, website & mind-body (internal software), implement the strategies and optimise our growth YoY, as we build our 2nd site and those after. The role combines ‘own’, ‘manage’, and ‘do’ elements, so is ideal for anyone with strategic, and management skills, but who also relishes the opportunity to roll their sleeves up and muck in. You will be managing the PR coordinator, Brand & Content Manager as well as being a marketing ambassador for the company. 

 

Senior Marketing Manager to join the team with the aim of stepping up to Head of Marketing within 12 months.


You should be confident managing and implementing campaigns across multiple channels. Experience in the boutique fitness, wellness, F&B, or hospitality sector preferred but not essential.

Key responsibilities:

  • live the brand values: to educate, enrich and empower women of all diversities to take back control of their bodies & lives
  • understand the business, communications, digital and CRM strategies, and ensure projects and activity deliver against KPIs and targets, and on time
  • Measure and report performance of growth channels including in-depth analysis of LTV, CPA, ROI, and KPI
  • manage up and across as well as down, building good and effective relationships with the Founders, Management Team, and Studio teams, gaining buy-in and generating engagement with marketing activity
  • implement, project manage and/or execute all marketing – against strategy, across channels, in line with the trading calendar and delivering on ROI
  • manage the marketing function, activity, and workload
  • Plan and execute all web, SEO & database marketing
  • Identify trends and highlight short-term and long-range issues to optimize performance based on the insights
    Coordinate and execute the growth plan, working with the Product Manager to ensure that no prospects fall through the cracks
    Utilize the strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touchpoints, identifying critical conversion and drop-off points to optimize user funnels
  • work closely with the Founders (and other key stakeholders) to develop new external & internal marketing content and communications
  • own the client journey and experience across all marketing channels 
  • be the digital/online marketing expert, bringing new insights and capabilities around digital activity
  • drive social media activity, numbers, and salience
  • be a brand ambassador and consumer champion, passing your knowledge and passion for what we do - and the way we do it - to all members of the team and to other stakeholders

Key skills:

  • proven B2C marketing experience, ideally in the hospitality, leisure, and fitness sectors
  • Creative flair, initiative to think outside the box 
  • Copywriting capabilities
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment across all marketing disciplines
  • ability to influence and negotiate across all levels internally and externally
  • ability to react positively to rapidly evolving brand requirements
  • results-oriented with strong analytic skills and business sense
  • proven experience of and ability to perform as part of a small team – you must be ready to roll your sleeves up and be hands-on

This is a part-time position initially approx 12-15 hours per week, with progression into the full-time head of marketing
