  • We're on the lookout for a Growth Marketing Manager to join Sculpd at an exciting period of growth.  As the first marketing hire, you’ll be working closely with the founders to design and execute paid and organic marketing campaigns to drive growth for the business and disrupt the status quo for crafts. 

     

    We are looking for an experienced growth marketer with a strong digital focus. Someone who can get stuck into the data and optimise the direct-to-consumer eCommerce and B2B marketing funnels. You have played a key role in helping grow an e-commerce business and have great understanding of how to execute digital growth. You will be an expert within the company with full ownership of our paid marketing strategy.

     

    Sculpd is on a mission to bring out the crafty side in everyone

     

    In April 2020 we set out to reinvent pottery. Once confined to the studios of trained ceramicists and the back rooms of trendy London cafes, pottery has long been a scarcely accessible and expensive part-time hobby. Or for most, something they haven’t tried since their school years. We set out to change that.

     

    We built the brand around the idea that everyone is crafty in their own way. We’re inspiring people to create things with their hands that they are proud of, while bringing people together in the process. We’re on a mission to bring out the crafty side in everyone. Starting in the UK and now selling internationally, we started with clay and now we’re taking crafts further than it’s ever been before. 

     

    Our first year has been fun and now we’re ready to go to the next level

     

    • We started with our famous Sculpd Kit one year ago which has since sold to over 100,000 customers in more than 60 countries around the world

    • We’ve built an amazing social community in which past and present customers inspire future customers with their amazing pottery creations. We’ve grown from 0 to 60k+ Instagram followers in less than one year!

    • We’ve got an exciting product roadmap and the products we’re bringing to market will change the craft game

    • International expansion is a key focus this year and we are expanding to meet customer demand across the globe

    • We’ve built partnerships with the most influential brands in the UK and US including Bloom & Wild, Patch Plants, Missoma, Mr Black Spirits, Papier, Biscuiteers with many more to come

     

    The role and how you’ll be working 

     

    • Paid campaign ideation, setup, analysis and optimisation across all paid social and search channels - Facebook, Pinterest and Google / Bing 

    • Strong quantitative skills to understand where growth is coming from and what levers to pull to drive it

    • Creation and delivery of a ROAS driven paid marketing strategy for product launches, gifting holidays and peak trading times

    • Working closely with the creative team to map out the delivery of graphic, video and photo assets for use in paid social campaigns

    • Close monitoring and optimisation of Google search campaigns to drive increased ROAS - keyword analysis, creation of responsive search ads, google shopping campaign management, display retargeting etc.

    • Ownership of SEO strategy - undertaking keyword research, performing on-site optimizations, monitoring search rankings through GSC and identifying opportunities for improved organic search growth.

    • We’re an early stage startup and your role will be central to our growth through all digital and offline channels

    • Within months you’ll be creating campaigns with a global audience that push the envelope for what crafts means and see, tangibly, the impact that it has on the growth of our business

     

    A bit about you...

     

    • 3+ years of experience driving growth via Paid Social, PPC and SEO in a direct-to-consumer e-commerce environment

    • Deep understanding of Facebook and Google Ad and Google Analytics platforms

    • Metrics driven, you are highly analytical and enjoy working with large datasets to surface actionable insights

    • Comfortable deploying A/B tests and reporting on test results to stakeholders

    • You like staying organised and multi-tasking, you have excellent attention to detail

    • Often taking the initiative to improve things and add value to the wider business

    • Innovative, you love seeking out new ideas and can surface them in a commercially-orientated way

    • As a bonus, experience using Klaviyo as a lever for retention based growth

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you’ll be confident working with multiple stakeholders and managing expectations

    • You love the idea of learning new skills or ways of working as the business continues to grow at pacex

    The Practical Stuff

     

    Where will we be working?

    You'll be working from our newly renovated huge office and warehouse in Boundary Business Court, Mitcham, South London. We're in the process of kitting this space out with a brand new photography / videography studio, meeting rooms, chillout area, shower, kitchen, fully stocked bar and of course, a table tennis table. 

     

    Commuting and Working

    The office is near Mitcham, South East of Wimbledon, with the closest tube station being Colliers Wood about 15 mins walk away. You can also drive or cycle to work (we have our own yard space, parking spots and brand new shower).

    We love the buzz of a vibrant office with everyone working together - we find this type of environment helps to nurture the most creative ideas, so we prefer people to work at the office where possible (Covid permitting). However we're also flexible when it comes to working from home on occasion along with having no set-in-stone working hours - we prefer to give you the flexibility you need to perform at your best.
