What we are looking for:

We are looking for a talented self-starter who is highly organised and enjoys connecting with people. You will be working closely with the founding team to help build a product at a pivotal point in research.

Description:

Brarista is looking for an experienced 3D Programmer/Research Assistant who can develop new and improve existing functionality of our 3D Deformation Pipeline which enables high quality real-time reconstruction and visualisation of human torso shape. This opportunity will allow the candidate to interact with an interdisciplinary expert team, improve their programming skills and utilise the growing network.

Key Tasks/Responsibilities

  • Research & plan 3D technology development with the technical team (including advisor)
  • Iteratively develop 3D deformation technology in collaboration with the team members throughout the lifetime of a project, from prototyping to deployed products
  • Analyse and propose improvement to the existing 3D deformation technology in the pipeline
  • Perform memory and performance optimisations of the 3D deformation to meet the requirements for SaaS platform
  • Debug and fix issues in the 3D deformation technology as they arise
  • Document the work to enable the team to understand how the system works and how they are designed to be used
  • Strong problem solving skills, critical thinking and analysis skills
  • Portfolio of previous work

Technical skills:

  • You have a MS, or PhD (including pursuing) in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3+ years Experience in 3D programming
  • Solid proficiency in Python or C/C++ language and HLSL/GLSL
  • Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch
  • Experience working in a Linus environment.

Essential skills:

  • Solid understanding of 3D geometry including vectors, meshing, mapping, probabilistic estimation, and 3D linear algebra
  • Understanding of modern GPU rendering pipeline and how to utilise it efficiently
  • Interpersonal experience: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration
  • Team player
  • Willingness to grow
  • Confident communicator

Desirable (but not required) skills:

  • Experience or understanding of early-stage tech startups
  • General knowledge of bra sizing and shapes
  • Knowledge of bra-fitting
