Driven by a strong environmental spirit and desire for circularity, URBAG® brings stylish, functional and zero-waste alternatives to the dry-cleaning market.
The social media executive will be working on this exciting initiative called URBAG (www.urbagofficial.com), that aims to end plastic waste in dry cleaning.
We are now looking to rapidly expand the business and the sale of the product online through direct online sales and retail partnerships. The candidate will be working closely with the founder of the business to grow URBAG’s online community on key social and business platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Create a compelling annual social media calendar across all platforms. Help define URBAG tone of voice. Create, co-ordinate and develop engaging, creative and innovative content for scheduled posts on the company social media channels. Create quality photography and videography content. Grow social media followers and sales by interacting with followers, influencers and other accounts. Collate and track sales through social media and online channels. Use analytics provided by social media channels to retarget and improve campaigns.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape the brand and learn all the ropes of growing a start-up.
Essential Skills, experience and qualifications
Passion for social media and digital marketing, including knowledge of the latest technology and platforms such as Tiktok and Snapchat.
Competency using and understanding a range of social media platforms. A strong communicator, both verbal and written. Excellent organisation skills. Analytical and good with numbers. Strong English and IT capabilities. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to meet tight deadlines, whilst maintaining quality of work. A creative mind, able to add to ideas to form a campaign concept with the team. A creative flair, shown through editorial, design or strategy. Ability to work proactively and independently.
This position is a new role with a 6 months contract, renewable once, with the long term ambition to become a permanent, full-time role.
It's a 25 hours, 4 days a week, Monday to Thursday, 9.30am to 4.30pm. Remote working 3 days a week and 1 day in the office. You will also receive additional training through the council.
This role is through the Kickstart scheme, a governement scheme to support youth employment. To be eligible, you must be aged between 18 and 24 and currently in receipt of Universal Credit.
