    Personal Alarm Watch is a discreet smartwatch for older people. It enables the wearer to get help from a 24/7 monitoring team at the touch of a button, wherever they are in the country.

    We created the watch in response to the unanimous dissatisfaction with traditional alarms. Older people hate how they make them feel and so leave them hung up on doors or tucked in the back of draws. These red buttons are stigmatising and their limited range makes people feel trapped in their homes. There are 2 million people with red button alarms in the UK. They have suffered the consequences of a lack of innovation in the market since the mid-eighties!

    We are a fast growing tech company with a focus on what older people actually want. We pride ourselves on having the best customer service in the industry and are always working to improve the experience using a mix of tech and white glove service. Our design-led method is unique in the category and is the reason we are doubling our user base every six months.

    We are seeking a passionate marketing manager to scale our acquisition channels and supercharge our growth. There is no best practice in building a world class brand for this demographic so we must create it ourselves.

    The Role

    You will be responsible for customer acquisition. This will involve scaling up existing marketing channels and launching new ones. Currently we advertise to older people and their families through paid search, paid social and print advertising. This requires the day to day execution of campaigns as well as data led decision making and experimentation. At the same time, you will use customer understanding and creative skills such as copywriting and design to create better ads.

    You should be excited about understanding older people and what makes them tick. You will be able to use this insight in designing tests to inform the campaigns we run. You will be the company's first marketing hire and have the chance to make your mark, growing the marketing function and team. You'll work alongside the founders, have an impact from day one and help shape the future of elderly care.

    Requirements

    • Passionate about making older people’s lives better
    • A proven track record of building, implementing and improving performance marketing strategies
    • 4+ years experience
    • Experienced in D2C, PPC, Paid Social and SEO
    • Analytical, and data led
    • Able to design and run tests to optimise campaigns
    • Strong copywriting skills
    • Self-motivated 
    • Able to create the playbook rather than work from one
    • Eligible to work in the UK
