About Octopus MoneyCoach
We’re on a mission to transform a million lives, by providing high quality financial coaching, affordable and accessible to everybody.
We’ve built a national network of brilliant financial coaches, along with powerful software that makes it easy to maximise your financial future.
Working with some of the top employers in the UK, in the last year our customer numbers have grown 350%. We provide financial coaching to the employees of household names like Sony, Moneysupermarket and Experian. With the Octopus Group backing us, we’re now poised to expand the service and team rapidly.
Inspired by sister companies like Octopus Energy, we’re determined to achieve something rare among financial companies, by building one of the UK’s most loved and impactful brands, rooted in the trust and togetherness we share with our clients.
The role and opportunity
As a Product Manager your main responsibility is to ensure that we have created, and continue to create, the best products and tools we can for our clients and coaches.
Day to day you will be:
- Working closely with the Engineering team as part of a broader Product & Technology delivery team
- Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and analyse product and feature opportunities
- Creating and maintaining a Product Backlog and associated artifacts
- Working closely with stakeholders to prioritise and review Product Backlog Items
- Working with data to deliver insights to our stakeholders
A genuine desire to help people
We are a mission-driven business, so it’s important that you can demonstrate a strong desire to help people and improve their lives.
Collaborative and a great team player
We’ve built a great team of top performers, and you’ll need to work with others from across the business to identify problems, agree solutions and implement changes
Problem solver at heart with an analytical mindset
You should be someone who gets excited by complex problems and can find creative ways to solve them no matter what your level of knowledge and experience with the subject matter. You should be able to digest complexity and develop a plan to move forward, without losing sight of the important details.
Goal driven and not afraid to get stuck in
We like to set ambitious goals and find creative ways to hit them, even if that means rolling up our sleeves and doing manual tasks before we’ve managed to fully automate them. You should have a bias towards action and getting things done.
Good technical knowledge
You don’t need to be an expert computer coder, but familiarity with technology and software development practices is essential.
