    Built-ID is looking to hire an exceptional business development manager to build key relationships with our target market and drive business growth at this pivotal time for our company.

    The platform enables communities and hard-to-reach groups to shape the places in which they live, work & play, whilst also donating to local charities. This is achieved via gamified surveys, which makes it quick, fun & easy for the community to meaningfully engage with projects, whilst simultaneously making it easy for decision-makers to act on the data-driven insights provided. In doing so, both social needs & business requirements are at the centre of change.

    Our clients include TFL, Legal & General, local councils, Grosvenor Estate, Manchester Arena, The City of London, Oxford University and many more, both in the UK and increasingly overseas.


    Our Ideal Candidate

    • Has 2 - 4 years of business development experience gained working within local government, property development, sustainability, community engagement or the renewable energy sector.
    • Has a knack for generating opportunities and using your entrepreneurial qualities to drive new business.
    • Has strong communication and presentation skills, able to assert and speak confidently with different stakeholders.
    • Has excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills ensuring they identify and deliver the best possible commercial solutions.
    • Is a strong negotiator, focused on achieving your set goals and targets whilst knowing when to compromise and when to take a stand.
    • Is energised by collaborating and building relationships with the drive to position Built-ID as the market leader in the built environment.
    • Is tech savvy with extensive knowledge of the digital ecosystem and passionate about using tech for social impact and good.
    • Has superlative attention to detail, prides themselves on the quality of their output and communication at all times, but is not afraid to ask for help when required.
    • Possesses exceptional writing and presentation skills, is able to assert and speak confidently with different stakeholders.
    • Has great self-awareness, and is willing to take on board constructive feedback, endeavouring to improve (we are proud of a culture that focuses on people’s strengths, but steps in to compensate for any ‘weaknesses’).


    What you'll be doing

    • Pushing Built-ID as the digital engagement leader through building and maintaining strong relationships with key bodies and organisations within the public sector
    • Identifying potential leads and opportunities through online portals and networks.
    • Conducting value-oriented consultative discussions with prospective clients to understand their business needs and how our product can meet those needs.
    • Responsible for the bids pipeline, including planning the application process and coordinating the written response documentation, ensuring all targets and deadlines are tracked and met and sharing knowledge throughout the company
    • Forecasting revenue objectives and KPIs quarterly and annually.
    • Collaborating effectively with SDR, Account Management and Marketing teams to identify new business opportunities.
    • Representing the company at networking and trade events.
