Common Surface is building the operating system for hybrid work in the new office normal. While companies globally adapt to hybrid working CS not only helps relieve the administrative burden but optimise people's schedules for productivity and collaboration.
We serve some of the UK's fastest-growing scale-ups such as Multiverse, Beamery, Cuvva, Beauhurst, Adzuna and Billion Dollar Boy and the number of users is growing rapidly.
We've been backed by leading VCs, experienced founders and some of the UK's most established angel investors.
We believe that the future of work is hybrid and is about allowing people to work where they work best.
Common Surface is an ambitious, exciting and rapidly scaling business gaining real traction from both clients and the investment community.
We are ambitious and are on target to roll out our product to 100+ companies by the end of the year in multiple geographies.

Common Surface's codebase is just over a year old now and has just undergone a period of consolidation - increasing test coverage, code quality and security. In the last few months, we have moved from Kanban to Sprints and have put an extra focus on ensuring all code has multiple reviews, is subject to suitable CI processes such as Danger.JS and many other practices. Finding the right balances which don't slow the team down too much but do ensure the continued quality of the code base is at the front of all of our developers' minds and will be an expectation of this role.
At the moment, Charlie our lead Engineer is based in London whilst the rest of the team is based in Poland. We are a team who likes to work in close collaboration and tackle problems as a whole rather than as individuals. We are also a team that actively seeks to improve and so there is plenty of scope to bring and introduce the practices you have worked under in the past. Although we're not looking to make changes to the team in Poland, we are looking to increase the size of the team in London and so this role will also require the hiring of and managing of new developers.
Finally, everyone at Common Surface has a voice when it comes to the Roadmap and how we envision the future of Hybrid working and this would very much extend to this role too - you'd not just be asked but expected to contribute to the Roadmap.
