We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join our ClimateTech startup from February 2022.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for both traditional business development, as well as (to a lesser extent) digital marketing activities.
With regards to traditional B2B customer acquisition, the role is one of strategy as well as execution. You'll work alongside Hamish, the Founder, to create and execute a structured plan for traditional B2B business development.
With regards to digital marketing activities, the focus is on attracting both sides of the marketplace: companies (the buyers) and academics (the sellers). Our focus here is on LinkedIn and Google Ads. While this is a role of strategy and execution, we work with a digital marketing freelancer who will support your work. Moreover, alongside Hamish, you'll manage the Marketing Intern.
The Business Development Manager role will be whatever it evolves into. We’re focussed on results rather than process, and as such we encourage initiative and ownership.
What you’ll need:
- You’ll need to be able to make sh*t happen. Initiative and a can-do attitude are essential.
- A sense of humour, balanced with drive, ambition and focus.
- 1-3 years experience with B2B sales / business development.
- Experience with digital marketing (valuable, but not a requirement).
