About Movemeon

Having more than doubled in size in the last 8 months (despite the pandemic) and with clear plans to continue that growth (we’re hiring in all business areas), we are a tech-enabled disruptor in the $2.5trn global recruitment / recruit-tech industry (we know it’s not fashionable yet, but stick with us).

Part of the London tech startup/scaleup scene and expanding internationally, our DNA is polar opposite to a recruitment agency or in-house recruiting. In fact, we were founded purely out of frustration - as candidates - with how traditional recruitment worked, and hadn’t evolved in decades. We had no prior recruitment experience but believed in the power of technology to unlock a better way - just as fintech has in financial services.

Our mission is simply to create the best experience for hiring and being hired. Today, our platform is used by 50,000+ strategic and commercial professionals and 4,000+ businesses (from global brands like Amazon to growth companies like HelloFresh to the most respected professional services firms and to 100s of rapidly expanding VC-backed startups). Organisations in over 50 countries partner with us and we have teams dedicated to core European Markets (UK, Germany, France), an Asia Pacific office (based in Sydney) and are expanding into North America.

We are extremely proud of our Pro Bono Professionals initiative which connects 100s of charities & NGOs with professional volunteers totally free of charge and has saved those great causes £millions along the way. Our sister business, Payspective, is breaking new ground when it comes to diversity & pay transparency. And our data based insight is some of the most respected within our sphere.

About the team & being part of it

We are proud of our diverse & welcoming nature. For example, our team of 35 people represents 11 different nationalities, is 52% female and includes people who work full time and part time, in the UK and overseas. Our professional backgrounds are equally varied - from recruitment, to technology, to consulting and everything in between (including an airline pilot!)

Our HQ office is 3 mins from Vauxhall Station in central London although flexible working is fully welcomed. We appreciate that some people love to use the office most days to separate home from work, whereas others prefer to use it solely for collaboration and socialising. We are currently adjusting to the “new normal” and each team has the autonomy to decide how they work most effectively. On average, people anticipate wanting to use the office ~2 days per week.

We believe that work should be enjoyable. That doesn’t mean we don’t work hard, but we don’t believe in working evenings or weekends - if that’s happening routinely, we’re either working in the wrong way, on the wrong stuff or we need to get more help.

We value feedback and run a monthly team survey to understand how everyone is feeling and make changes. We want people to learn & progress in their career, so everyone has a £1,000 annual learning budget to use as they’d like. We also love to have fun and have a monthly budget for a “fun manager” and organise 2 team away trips every year (for even more details, please see the OUR OFFER section below).

The opportunity

Our product

We have recently been rebuilding our whole platform, and will be launching an entirely new product in 2022. It’s built in Laravel and Angular.

We have an international team, with our Founders and Director of Product in the UK, and an engineering team of 5 currently based in India ( tech lead, 2 senior developers, 1 front end developer and a QA tester).

The product is a marketplace to help match professionals with career opportunities in start-ups, PE, VC, leading corporates and consulting. We currently have 50 thousand visits per month, and expect this to grow substantially with the launch of our next product.

We have evolved our algorithms to better match the two sides of the marketplace, and are looking to set the foundations for AI as the business continues to scale.
