Senior Product Manager

Central Scotland/Remote UK

If you are a Senior Product Manager, who can integrate complex requirements from a collaborative, data-driven research community into successful service, this could be the ideal role for you!

As a key member of the Aridhia team you will be responsible for managing requirements for one of Aridhia products and services. The Senior Product Manager will work closely with our clients, partners, delivery, and enablement teams to guide Aridhia’s products from conception to service launch. As part of the Product team, you’ll bridge the technical, business and service worlds as you design services that our customers require.

A Senior Product Manager is expected to promote the Aridhia DRE as a whole as well as individual products. They should be able to drive an integrated approach including supporting customers build their own platforms using our services.

What you’ll be doing...

− Accountable for the current and future roadmap of products within Aridhia’s Digital Research Environment platform and services

− Reports to and works day-to-day with the CTO to align product management to company strategy

- Works day-to-day with the delivery team (development, QC, operations) in an Agile product owner role. Represents the product team in general management and operational meetings

- Works day-to-day with customer enablement and customer service teams to adapt the products and services to the needs of customers and help respond to queries and concerns

- Has an overview of customer issues and priorities, and improves customer communication and outreach channels

- Proactively scans the market to identify competitive offers and cooperation partners as well as understanding and communicating general technical and environment trends that impact Aridhia

- Participates in the Aridhia security review board.

Responsible for:

− As well delivering releases of individual products, the senior product manager is responsible for driving the portfolio as a whole and making the business case for new service features or products as needed. They should also drive process improvement for Aridhia's product development.

− Maintenance and timely completeness of the product roadmap documentation

− Making good decisions on service business models and features

− Triage of inbound issues from inside or outside the organisation

− Ensuring the delivery team understands requirements and implements what the company requires, and customers expect

− Attending development stand ups other delivery meetings such as retrospectives and demos

− Maintaining the customer-facing service description document for their product

− Demonstrating the software to customers and potential customers.

In addition:

− May contribute to or lead commercial bid preparations

− Drive the adoption of a DevOps and other efficiencies in the service deliver model

− Communicates with a wider public about the Aridhia platform and roadmap including
participating at conferences, writing blog posts and other social media

− Develops mock-ups and prototypes of new features.

What you’ll bring….


− Leadership skills with a strong personal definition of product owner role, tasks and

− A proven ability to capture and rationalise diverse customer and end user requirements,
including their aspirations and goals, with the ability to be an effective advocate

− Ability to find business opportunity in cloud-based business models and convert them to
successful products

− Ability to estimate effort, cost and value of feature development within an R&D budget and negotiate resource for delivery

− Ability to negotiate and maintain partner and supplier relationships, including dealing with disagreement or conflict of priorities

− A track record of delivering web-based products and services ideally in a field related to
biomedical research and analytics

− Deep knowledge of technical aspects of product development to ensure competitive advantage and effective delivery.

Desirable Qualifications/Skills:

− Understanding of information governance, privacy and security related to personal data and the use of cloud services, with the ability to communicate this to stakeholders

− Knowledge of technical components of cloud platforms including Azure

− Understanding of the biomedical research and analytics market and its long-term trends including healthcare, academic and pharmaceutical environments, with the ability to communicate this to stakeholders

− Informatics and information architecture

− Founded a start-up, taken a new product to market

− User experience (UX) design and documentation

− Software architecture and design and documentation

− Previous experience of directly selling software services
