Full-time, Central London (Hybrid)

£28K to  £32K per year

Blueshift Education is looking for a smart and adaptable Sales and Marketing Manager, with experience in B2B marketing, to help scale our business and take us to the next level. You will be responsible for managing all sales and marketing projects within the business, with a particular focus on growing our offering for schools, corporate sponsorship and improving customer communications.

We are the premier go-to resource for London schools and parents, providing coding clubs, camps and online classes for creative and curious children aged 5 to 14. Our mission: empowering students with the tools of technology to become “makers” wherever their imagination takes them now and spark an understanding of how they can shape their future world.

We are a young, dynamic company based in West London. We have a dedicated community of 35+ computing teachers that we connect to parents, schools and children. We are a not-for-profit with the aim of making our classes more accessible. 

 

The role

As a Sales and Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for leading all business activities relating to the growth of our company. You will own the sales and marketing activities for both B2B and B2C sides of the business, with a particular focus on B2B sales and attaining more partnerships with schools and corporates. We’ll look to you when it comes to our growth plans, whether it is expanding to a new area or finding sponsorship opportunities in order to increase our B2B clientele. 

You’ll also be responsible for managing the strategy of all customer communications, including Customer Data. You’ll own our CRM platform and find ways to utilise it effectively. You’ll have the assistance of a Junior Marketing executive to help you. 



Key responsibilities

  • Owning our B2B (schools and corporates) sales strategy and process; managing lead generation and conversion activities; identifying growth opportunities and writing and implementing strategies to exploit these.
  • Owning our B2C sales and marketing strategy and process; managing marketing campaigns, utilising traditional and digital methods (including print, PPC, SEO and email), optimising and reporting on campaign performance;
  • Responsible for meeting sales targets, revenue reporting and managing marketing budgets.
  • Managing our customer database and CRM platforms, optimising them and finding strategic ways to use them.
  • Owning our customer journey from lead capture to conversion
  • Managing the digital customer journey on our website, using web analytics to identify areas for improvement and managing implementation of ideas.
  • Managing projects to improve sales operations and generate more revenue for the business, such as setting up corporate sponsorships for our after-school clubs or introducing a better CRM system.
  • Acting as brand guardian, ensuring that all marketing (digital and print) collateral and messaging (marketing and customer comms) follow brand guidelines.
  • Identifying new Growth opportunities and strategies.

 

About you

You are a proactive self-starter, and passionate about the work you do. You have a few years of sales / marketing  experience and are comfortable managing a CRM system and creating targeted campaigns. You are keen to join a small, growing organisation where you can make a real impact, and happy with ambiguity. Ideally you have a background in education or experience in selling to corporates.

You will be looking to take your career to the next step and have some line management responsibilities for junior staff members. You are strategic and can see the big picture, but understand that in a small organisation, everyone needs to pull their weight.

The company is in an exciting growth stage and we will be reviewing salaries if the targets are met. 



What we’re looking for

  • 2+ years experience in a Growth, Sales, Marketing or similar role
  • Solid understanding of CRM platforms and sales operations
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets
  • Experience creating and managing sales reports and budgets
  • Experience in analytical reporting and proficiency in PPC; experience in SEO, especially for Shopify is a plus
  • A passion for computing education and its creative possibilities
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, being proactive and wanting to actively shape our growth; we’re looking for self starters who are happy to produce marketing materials when needed
  • (Desired) Experience with account based marketing (ABM) or B2B sales is a massive plus
  • (Desired) Experience working with schools (ideally in a sales or account management role)
  • (Desired) Some Design work experience, using Adobe tools or managing Designers
