  • We're looking for a confident and entrepreneurial French speaker, able to take on the initial launch of our European expansion project and oversee our sales and operations in these new territories. Launching in 3 new countries (France/ Belgium/ Netherlands) over the next 12 months, starting shortly with France, this launch has been the subject of years of preparation. Supported by an experienced team, this is both a hands-on and a strategic role requiring sales skills as well as strong admin operations. Knowledge of the French hospitality sector is a must.

    For clarity, this is a London based and UK employed role and we won’t be progressing applications for remote workers based in France.

    • Passionate about great beer/wine/spirits (in moderation!) - you can convey this passion to everybody you meet
    • Multilingual - you’re a fluent French and English speaker (Dutch would be beneficial too but just a cherry on the top)
    • Great Communicator - distance is no barrier to you building relationships and you can both charm and cut through complexity with every conversation
    • Commercial - you know how to make a sale but also how to turn a profit
    • Proactive - you take the initiative and actively seek improvements
    • Troubleshooting is your middle name, no problem you can’t work your way around
    • Unflappable - your excellent organisational skills help you to juggle tasks and assess priorities without breaking a sweat
    • Honest and reliable - you understand how to work with sensitive information and you’re a safe pair of hands with any task
    • Intelligent - quick to understand, quick to process and not afraid to ask when you don’t know

    What you’ll do:

    In a nutshell you will be responsible for establishing and growing our new websites and operations as we expand into Europe for the first time. This position reports into the directors and is a key position in the company's future and leadership team. The role will certainly but not exclusively include the following:

    • International Sales - Account Management and New Business
    • Build our customer base of pubs, bars and restaurants etc in the new areas
    • Write our marketing emails and materials / translate those from our UK team
    • Cold calling, emailing and visiting targets to build up our portfolio of registered and active customers
    • Looking after customers and driving their spend, securing the first sales with them and then increasing basket sizes and website usage
    • Oversee the customer services team activities for your region and intervene as an account manager where anyone is having issues or needs advice


    • Website Launch - while everything is ready for our international launch, you will be helping with fine tuning the details and testing as we go live
    • Maintaining our translations and documents for each local market
    • Liaising with our finance team and local experts to ensure we’re compliant with local laws, taxes and regulations
    • Working with our tech team, testing and debugging the new version sites
    • Managing initially our new integrations with our courier and cross border customs partners


    • New Brewery Onboarding - you will be responsible for growing the number of producers to list on our soon to launch French, Belgian and Dutch B2B marketplace sites
    • Supported by our UK producer relations team you will take the lead in your market to direct their priorities for onboarding
    • Explaining to key targets suppliers why we are amazing and how we can help them sell and move more beer (& cider, wine, spirits too!)
    • Onboarding new producer sign ups and helping them through the contracting and listing process and through their first sale
    • Providing key info to allow the UK sales team to sell these products into our established UK market


    • International Brewery point of contact - you will be responsible for maintaining the working relationships with producers from your region with support from our UK based producer team:
    • staying in touch, making sure things are running smoothly for them
    • making sure we’re getting their newest beer releases, their inventory lists are up to date
    • working with them on pricing and promotions and helping them maximising their sales


    Reporting to:

    • Our CEO, with close support from our UK Department heads


    • Salary will be dependent on experience, we envisage this being £30-40k and may have commission and performance based bonuses
    • All our team in the UK are registered for our pension scheme after probation and received perks such as free monthly beer boxes and weekly drinks in our Taproom
