  • If you are looking for full ownership and leadership of a HR function in a growing startup that’s setup for remote working then read on. 

    This role is a great fit if you are either a:

    1. “Subject Matter Expert” - someone who has a track-record of building and scaling HR functions in early-stage start-ups
    2. “Step-Up Candidate” - someone who has a track-record of working in People, Culture, and/or Talent Acquisition teams within a start-up, and is now seeking an opportunity for full ownership and leadership of a HR function 

    You should have:

    • 5+ years experience working in HR/People teams 
    • Previous experience working in a startup environment, ideally seed/series A stage - understanding that everyday you must ‘embrace the chaos’ but work towards structure
    • Understanding and experience of the Talent acquisition function
    • Expertise/thoughtfulness across breadth of HR and recruiting functions:- from comp and benefits,learning and development programs and organizational design
    • Founder mentality- you will have a growth mindset and embrace figuring things out.
    • Intellectual horsepower- we’re solving problems most other companies haven’t or can’t solve, so you will need tenacity and intellectual agility to succeed
    • The ability to prioritize ruthlessly- we move fast, so your priorities will constantly evolve. You will need to keep disciplined to the important work, and not get distracted by low ROI tasks
    • An intrinsic interest and passion for startups. 
    • Fluent English language skills (you don’t need an IELTS, but if you did it would be 7.0+)

    The Role

    We are the very definition of a fast-paced start-up. It’s incredibly liberating, and we may not get things right all of the time (90% of the time we do!) but we accept this is the trade-off for moving at pace and innovating. Ultimately everything will be measured as results matter, but (particularly) for this position we want to constantly be challenging the status quo.

    As with all of our managerials roles, you will have a dual responsibility of strategy and execution. 

    Initially, you will be in “building” mode as you implement processes, systems, and infrastructure to help our teams reach a ‘world-class’ level.  

    You will also manage all aspects of HR and oversee the Talent Acquisition team to identify and hire the best talent globally and in Vietnam.  Some of your deliverables will include:

    • Building a world-class HR function
    • HR/Employee Relations Management
    • Hiring & managing a talent acquisition team within the HR function
    • Integrating and maintaining company culture as cross-functional collaboration and geographic dispersion increases
    • Development of learning and development programs
    • Alignment of compensation and performance
    • Defining Career Paths for Employees
      • Learning & Development 
    • Performance & salary reviews
    • Creating an exceptional onboarding system for our teams around the world, that is both unified but also unique to each team.
    • Adopting new tools and building systems to help us communicate effectively across teams and locations 

    The role can be based in our Vietnam office or remote (within +/- 2 hour time difference with Vietnam or the UK)
