You'll have strong visual layout skills, a considered use of typography and be able to tell a story through your design. You'll be comfortable ideating and conceptualising innovative and creative design approaches. You look to evidence from user research and established design principles to inform your decisions. You might even have solid experience of designing for children, game design, or video apps.

    • Create high-fidelity design specifications for apps and website
    • Work with and implement embedded media/motion/animated elements in collaboration with the creative team
    • Explore and ideate new UI concepts as sketches, user journeys or wireframes
    • Provide design direction and UI details to the front-end app & web developers within an agile development process
    • Create the information architecture and user flows for the MarcoPolo website, including the ecommerce experience
    • Test app builds and feedback on design implementation
    • Immerse yourself in the needs of our users (parents and early learners), and interpret data and analytics feedback, in order to be the ‘voice’ of users in design and development discussions
    • Contribute to usability testing as required, including creating interactive prototypes
    • Great understanding of responsive design and knows how everything translates from one device to another.
    • An ability to manage multiple projects independently at any one time to ensure stakeholders requirements are met
    • Well acquainted with User Experience and Interface best practice methodologies and design

    • 5+ years of UX design experience, experience leading junior designers preferred
    • Autonomous team player who takes initiative and responsibility for key UX design process deliverables with outstanding interpersonal skills
    • Strong collaborator who ensures the success of others
    • Demonstrable experience in consumer-facing websites and content-rich apps
    • Ability to demonstrate strong working knowledge of research methods
    • Ability to design the flow and layout of solutions to solve customer problems
    • Ability to perform competitive analysis, define user personas, study education technology trends and strategies
    • Outstanding portfolio showcasing user-centred design projects that includes evidence of creating low and hi-fidelity website mock ups, user flows, scenarios or other UX artifacts
    • You are flexible, adaptable and able to change direction if necessary
    • Excellent communicator with fluent written and spoken English
    • Working knowledge of user research, usability principles and accessibility standards
    • Experience or knowledge of educational products, game design, ecommerce or video-based apps will be a significant bonus
