We are looking for a qualified accountant with 3-5 years experience to join our finance team as the Head of Finance. As our first full time finance hire, you will bring the currently outsourced function in house, and build a small team over time. You will form a key part of the finance and operations team, building and implementing new processes as well as being the go to person for all things finance.You must be comfortable working independently, and be able to manage the finance function from start to finish. You will report into the COO and be responsible for generating key figures and reports to the senior leadership team.

Feedr is redefining the workplace food landscape, using technology to build personalised menus and launch company food programs for teams in the office or at home. In addition to our marketplace of vendors, we provide the technology to digitise the office canteen within Compass Group.

Owning our control and budgeting function

  • Create, document, and lead the implementation of new finance processes, procedures and systems to enhance the finance operation, organisational procedures, information flow, planning and business processes
  • Responsibility of production of monthly board reporting, producing and interpreting accurate and timely monthly management account packs
  • Manage the planning, budgeting and forecasting processes

Day to day financial management

  • Manage the accounts payable process making sure our vendors are paid on time and accurately, working with our 3rd party tools Xero and Telleroo as well as internal systems
  • Manage accounts receivable and credit control, minimising the order to cash cycle
  • Managing payroll
  • Responsibility for regulatory reporting, statutory accounts and liaising with audit firms
  • Respond directly to queries from the team and vendors
  • Reporting and collaboration with Compass Finance team

Business and team expansion

  • Ad hoc projects working with the exec / leadership team to define and measure annual and quarterly objectives, in alignment with our longer-term strategy
  • Manage integration with Compass systems as appropriate as we scale
  • Building a team as the business scales


  • Have 3- 5 years’ experience in a relevant role, across a range of business operations and finance
  • Qualified accountant with solid post qualification bookkeeping/accounting experience
  • Amazing attention to detail; you are analytical and good at independent problem-solving
  • Experience of using Xero and other cloud accounting and reporting applications
  • Have excellent and persuasive written and oral communication
  • A solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics with a track record of delivering high-quality management information and analysis
  • Are able to to identify performance improvement opportunities, communicate effectively to the leadership team and implement
  • Able to work collaboratively across all functions and with external stakeholders and third-party service providers
  • Have an Entrepreneurial mindset and an ability to work independently and at times without much guidance
