What you'll do

As a Investor Relations Associate at Seedrs, you will join the Investor Team within the Business Development department, playing a fundamental role in driving our global growth impacting how thousands of investors of all types can access Seedrs investment opportunities. 

You will have the opportunity to build relationships with Seedrs top platform investors and be given the freedom to drive change with us in the investment ecosystem from day one.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Owning relationships with Seedrs top platform investors focussing on platform Angel, High Net Worth and Sophisticated investors
  • Increasing platform investment and sign up activity working towards quarterly and annual investment and sign up growth targets
  • Supporting investors through the entire investment process from sign up to investment, acting as the first point of contact for Seedrs top investors  
  • Through cold calling, email outreach or online platform demos, actively engaging with platform users to help drive sign ups and platform investment
  • Supporting the augmentation of the investor experience, collecting investor feedback and working with the product team to help improve the investor experience.
  • Supporting founders and fund managers with introductions to high value investors and onboarding their high value investor network
  • Working with the Marketing team in supporting investor acquisition and engagement activities from outbound marketing campaigns, investor events and content creation
  • Educating investors on Seedrs platform functionality and the benefits of investing in early stage private companies
  • Working with the origination team supporting the qualification and onboarding of new investment opportunities for Seedrs Private Market, a new section of the platform dedicated for Angel, HNW and Sophisticated investors

The varied nature of this role means there is no set profile for the ‘perfect’ Associate, individuals have come from traditional sales backgrounds as well as being ex-lawyers, accounts and entrepreneurs. What they all have in common is a passion for investing in startups!

The job requires a wide set of skills, including top-notch interpersonal skills, a commercial mindset, understanding of a sales process, and keen interest to work with high value and experienced investors and their requirements to make informed investment decisions. We look for self-starters; you need to act as an entrepreneur yourself, and are expected to challenge the way you work, adapting accordingly to the needs of investors and the business.


Who we’re looking for

You will likely possess at least 2 of the following key character attributes or professional experiences:

  • At least 3 years experience in investment management, venture capital, consultative sales, corporate finance, investor relations, angel syndicate.
  • A genuine passion for early stage investing and entrepreneurship, and are excited by the opportunity to interact with investors of every kind.
  • A keen eye for detail, you write compelling proposals, deal summaries and presentations.
  • Commercially minded, able to spot opportunities that will help drive Seedrs’ growth as well as prioritise effectively to drive revenue and achieve targets.
  • Confident speaking to C-level executives, founders and investors either 1:1 or presenting to room of 30+ people at an event.
  • Familiar with early-stage investment activity, how it works, and who plays in the space.
  • A standard setter with competitive drive: you set ambitious goals, and build clear strategies on how to achieve them.
  • Team player, able to collaborate with and support members of other teams to achieve the same goal.

Nice to haves 

  • Knowledge of equity crowdfunding market, Seedrs platform functionality and investor UX.
  • Knowledge of investment due diligence process, and what investors look for in early stage private companies
  • Knowledge of SEIS and EIS investor tax reliefs for investors and company eligibility 
  • Knowledge of financial promotion regulations
  • Relevant professional qualifications such as Investment Management Certificate (IMC) or EIS Diploma


Interview process 

We have a multi stage interview process

  1. 30 minute chat with our Internal Recruiter
  2. 1 hr interview with our Investor Manager and Investor Team lead
  3. Final interview with the CCO and Investor team including a pre-prepared task
  4. Culture interview held by the People team
