About LOQBOX

LOQBOX is a financial inclusion FinTech for good company wanting to solve one of the
biggest problems there is, money. Money is a leading cause of stress in many countries. And
often it’s the thing getting in the way of what we want most. One big part of it is being locked
out of accessing financial goods and services on fair terms or not having any rainy day funds
for when things go wrong. Another problem is a lack of financial education, meaning few of us
feel empowered to improve our financial health. We believe everyone deserves the chance to
build a brighter financial future, and we’ve built some really smart ways to help our members
do that. We’re continually launching innovative new products to help our members get treated
fairly in the financial game, and achieve their goals. Be part of our journey and mission to
improve people’s financial lives.

We’re growing rapidly and looking for a talented Data Engineer.

The Data Engineer will be focused on building out the data infrastructure that powers the
LOQBOX business. Combining a good knowledge of technical engineering and data
analytics, they will provide mechanisms for the provision, storage, retention and retrieval of
data across the organisation.

Reporting to the CTO, they will work across geographically distributed resources; and partner
with the technology leadership in an innovative, collaborative, fast-paced and deadline-driven

leading to root cause analysis and permanent resolution.
  • Provide and maintain data documentation of both the current and future state.
  • Maintain the quality of the data across all databases.
  • Build and maintain the data catalogue.

Skills and experience you’ll need:

  • 2 to 4 years experience in a data engineering or similar role,

More about you:

environments. Able to demonstrate a proactive approach to work and collaboration, you’ll
also thrive working independently and will be able to take initiative to drive your own work.
